Location: Bournemouth<br><br>Please make sure you read the following details carefully before making any applications.<br>Job Types: Full-time | Part-time | Temporary (Ongoing)<br>MedGen Healthcare is seeking compassionate, resilient, and dedicated Mental Health Healthcare Assistants to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people with complex mental health needs.<br>This role involves supporting children and adolescents with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and other additional needs . You will play a vital role in helping young people feel safe, understood, and supported in their daily lives.<br>The Role<br>As a Mental Health Healthcare Assistant, you will:<br>Provide consistent emotional support and reassurance to children experiencing anxiety, distress, or behavioural challenges.<br>Support children with autism and ADHD to manage routines, transitions, and sensory sensitivities.<br>Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, mealtimes, hygiene, and maintaining a structured routine.<br>Implement behaviour support plans and positive behaviour strategies in line with care plans.<br>Safely manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using PMVA techniques where necessary.<br>Maintain accurate, clear, and timely records of care provided and incidents.<br>Promote a safe, nurturing, structured, and stimulating environment tailored to individual needs.<br>Requirements<br>Minimum 6 months UK experience working as a Healthcare Assistant<br>Experience supporting individuals with Autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour .<br>Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).<br>In date PMVA training (or willingness to do).<br>What were looking for<br>Strong communication and relationship-building skills.<br>Good understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and professional boundaries.<br>Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.<br>Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).<br>In-date PMVA training (or willingness to complete training).<br>Ability to provide a clinical reference.<br>What We Offer<br>Competitive pay rates - £17.50 to £22.25 per hour.<br>Flexible shift patterns to suit your availability.<br>Ongoing opportunities for professional development.<br>The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people.<br>Why Join MedGen Healthcare?<br>MedGen Healthcare is a CQC-regulated provider delivering high-quality care across the community, from non-complex to highly complex packages.<br>We value our support workers and recognise the essential role you play in delivering safe and compassionate care.
