Field-based Service Engineer

Do you take pride in delivering a reliable service while working independently on the road?</p><p><br></p><p>Silver Sockets is a market leader in the service and repair of mobile and static welfare cabins, and we are looking for Service Engineers to join us in Central Scotland and Slough.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The role</strong></p><p>This is a field-based position where no two days are the same. You will travel to customer sites to service and repair welfare cabins, dealing with both planned maintenance and unexpected breakdowns.</p><p><br></p><p>You will be trusted to manage your own workload, diagnose issues, and carry out repairs to a high standard. Just as important, you will represent Silver Sockets professionally when dealing with customers.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Attend scheduled jobs and reactive call outs</li><li>Diagnose faults and complete repairs, aiming for a first-time fix</li><li>Carry out routine maintenance and servicing</li><li>Complete clear and accurate service reports, including photos where needed</li><li>Manage van stock, tools, and equipment</li><li>Follow health and safety guidelines at all times</li><li>Work with other engineers to share knowledge and improve ways of working</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>About our company</strong></p><p>Silver Sockets has built a strong reputation for keeping welfare cabins running safely and efficiently.
