About the Company Rapiscan Systems is an industry leader in detection technology, providing cargo and vehicle inspection systems and services for ports, borders, military, high-threat facilities, and checkpoints to help customers combat terrorism, drug smuggling, illegal immigration, and trade fraud.<br><br>Skills, Experience, Qualifications, If you have the right match for this opportunity, then make sure to apply today.<br><br>We offer a broad array of scanning system configurations that leverage low-, medium-, and high-energy X-ray technologyor multiple X-ray technologiesto address each customers unique security application requirements.<br><br>Our commitment to excellence in imaging performance, innovative design, and uncompromising quality ensures our solutions consistently deliver best-in-class imaging, high reliability, and operator satisfaction, to help customers find threats and contraband with ease and confidence.<br><br>About the Role The Factory Test & Commissioning Engineer will play a key role in the production of x-ray equipment.<br><br>They will be part of a small team responsible for commissioning complex hold baggage/parcel screening/Pax baggage x-ray systems and associated matrix solutions, within a production environment at the required MPS cadence.<br><br>Responsibilities System electrical start up and system testing, following start-up/test procedures.<br><br>Earth bond testing.<br><br>Fault finding on HVPS, A/C, CT Tubes and associated hardware/software.<br><br>Setup, configure and test image reconstruction and threat detection engine (SW&HW).<br><br>Setup, configure and test PLC code and HMI functionality.<br><br>Setup, configure and test Can bus systems.<br><br>Conduct Image Quality (IQ) machine configuration process.<br><br>Support the development of relevant testing documentation and work instructions.<br><br>Collaboration with the engineering team to resolve issues and test new process/procedure changes.<br><br>Assembly, configuration and fault finding of network/workstation solutions.<br><br>Support customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).<br><br>Work with QA to resolve any quality and supplier issues.<br><br>Uphold the companys core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.<br><br>Demonstrate behavior consistent with the companys Code of Ethics and Conduct.<br><br>It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.<br><br>Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.<br><br>Qualifications Experience in X-ray generation equipment is desired, but not essential.<br><br>Experience with PLC controls, Allen Bradley platform with RS Logix is preferred.<br><br>Experience of Can bus controls.<br><br>Experience with complex IT systems, both Microsoft and Linux OS.<br><br>Strong analytical outlook, combined with good communication skills.<br><br>Proven experience in fault finding on complex electrical panels and circuits with the ability to rework any faults found whilst adhering to the required procedures.<br><br>Experience of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kanban and CI methodology etc desirable. xwzovoh <br><br>Qualifications, HNC and equivalents or minimum 2-3 years of experience.
