<p>Job Description</p><br>Check you match the skill requirements for this role, as well as associated experience, then apply with your CV below.<br><p>Elevation Recruitment Group's Engineering Services Division are supporting our client with the recruitment of a Datacentre Facilities Engineer based in London (Heathrow area).</p><p>The Datacentre Facilities Engineer will initially be based at their Heathrow site, with the ability to travel to other sites when requested (vehicle provided for travel between sites).</p><p>Key Responsibilities of the Datacentre Facilities Engineer include:</p><ul><li>Infrastructure Maintenance: Monitor and maintain power (UPS, generators), cooling, and fire detection/suppression systems.</li><li>Troubleshooting & Repair: Actively diagnose mechanical and electrical issues</li><li>Preventative Maintenance: Perform daily, weekly, or monthly inspections of infrastructure using PPM Schedules. Working on site with external contractors and supervising contractors for repairs.</li><li>Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA and site-specific policies.</li><li>Monitoring & Reporting: Use building management systems (BMS) to monitor systems and react to changes</li></ul><p>Required Skills and Qualifications for the Datacentre Engineer include:</p><ul><li>Working Knowledge of critical infrastructure, including electrical systems (switchgear, generators) and HVAC systems. xwzovoh </li><li>Apprentice trained M&E or Facilities Engineer</li><li>Problem-Solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot systems under pressure.</li><li>Collaboration & Communication Skills</li><li>Willingness and flexibility to work on-call, weekends, or holidays to ensure 24/7 operations</li><li>Full UK driving licence</li><li>Eligible for full in depth SC Clearance</li></ul><p>If you are a Datacentre Facilities Engineer looking for a new challenge in your local area, or a Facilities Technician who would love to branch out into Datacentre work, please apply now.
