Job description
We are looking for an experienced and organised Events Head Chef to lead our hotels events and banqueting kitchen operation. This role is focused mainly on delivering high-quality food for weddings, corporate functions and special events, with occasional breakfast cover in the absence of the Breakfast Chef.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee all event and banqueting food operations
Create seasonal and bespoke menus tailored to client requirements and event styles
Meet with clients where required to discuss menus, dietary requirements, and event expectations
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality food for weddings, conferences, and private functions
Manage kitchen operations during events, ensuring smooth and timely service
Work closely with the Events and Operations teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences
Maintain food quality, presentation, and consistency across all functions
Manage stock control, ordering, and kitchen budgets
Take full responsibility for kitchen Health & Safety, food hygiene, HACCP compliance, and allergen management
Manage and oversee Kitchen Porters (KPs) and kitchen support staff
Arrange and manage agency chef cover when required to support business needs
Train, motivate, and develop the kitchen team
Provide breakfast service cover in the absence of the Breakfast Chef
Requirements xwzovoh :
Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef within hotels, events, or banqueting
Strong background in high-volume event catering
Creativity and experience developing seasonal menus
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Strong understanding of Health & Safety and food hygiene regulations
Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure
Experience managing staffing levels, rotas, and agency cover
Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends for events
