Equipment Shift Technician / Maintenance Technician<br><br>Making sure you fit the guidelines as an applicant for this role is essential, please read the below carefully.<br>Permanent | Newport, South Wales | £27,000-£31,000 + Shift Allowance (up to 50%)<br>We are recruiting Equipment Shift Technicians / Maintenance Technicians to join Vishay, a global semiconductor manufacturer, at their modern manufacturing facility in Newport.<br>This is a hands-on engineering technician role offering full training, long-term job security, and genuine career progression in advanced manufacturing.<br>Key Responsibilities<br>Preventive and reactive maintenance of production equipment<br>First-line fault finding and troubleshooting<br>Supporting equipment up-time and manufacturing performance<br>Working in a clean-room manufacturing environment<br>Following standard operating procedures (SOPs)<br>Working closely with Engineers and other Technicians<br>Shift Pattern<br>12-hour shifts - days or nights<br>Days: 7am-7pm | Nights: 7pm-7am<br>Fixed shift patterns<br>Enhanced shift allowance paid<br>Skills & Experience (Training Provided)<br>BTEC / HNC in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or similar<br>Maintenance, technician, production, or manufacturing experience preferred<br>Ability to follow procedures and work safely<br>Willingness to work either day or night shifts<br>Semiconductor experience not required<br>Salary & xwzovoh Benefits<br>£27,000-£31,000 basic + 20-50% shift allowance<br>Free Bupa private healthcare<br>Pension up to 7% employer contribution<br>Life assurance (4 salary)<br>Fully funded technical training<br>Clear progression to Senior Technician / Engineer roles<br>On-site gym, restaurant & free parking<br>Employee discounts & well-being support<br>Apply Now!<br>Apply today with your CV or contact Manpower on for more information.
