This expansion creates an exciting opportunity for skilled Technicians to join a high-performing team supporting the future of world-class semiconductor manufacturing.<br><br>Location: Newport, South Wales<br>Contract Type: Permanent<br>Salary: £27,000 - £31,000 + shift allowance (30% / 20% / 50%)<br><br>Shift Patterns<br>12 hour shifts. Days: 7am-7pm Nights: 7pm-7am<br>Front End: Back End:<br>Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue Wed, Thu, Fri<br>Sun, Mon, Tue Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat<br><br>As an Equipment Shift Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting both equipment up-time and manufacturing performance. Working within a high-tech clean-room environment, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and improve semiconductor production tools, ensuring efficient equipment operation across assigned shifts.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br>Perform and sustain Preventive Maintenance (PMs) on semiconductor production equipment<br>Troubleshoot equipment issues and carry out first level fault recovery<br>Support equipment improvement projects, experiments, and tool health activities<br>Achieve required equipment performance metrics across each shift<br>Follow documented procedures for equipment checks, PMs, and OCAPs<br>Work closely with Equipment and Process Engineers to resolve online manufacturing issues<br><br>What You Will Need<br>Full training provided, but we are looking for candidates with:<br>BTEC/HNC in Engineering or working towards an equivalent qualification<br>Ability to interpret technical procedures and produce structured observation reports<br>Understanding of modern manufacturing concepts (JIT, KANBAN, Zero Defects, SPC, TQM, TPM)<br>Strong organisational, prioritisation, and problem solving skills<br>Awareness of clean-room protocols and expectations<br>Availability to work fixed 12 hour day and night shifts<br><br>Benefits xwzovoh <br>Your future employer offers a strong benefits package, including:<br>Fully funded training and development<br>Clear career progression routes<br>Life assurance (4 base salary)<br>Annual merit review<br>Free Bupa private healthcare (for you)<br>Competitive pension scheme (up to 7% employer contribution)<br>Employee Assistance Programme<br>On-site gym, sports & social clubs<br>Retail, leisure and entertainment discounts<br>On-site restaurant, green outdoor spaces, and free parking<br><br>If an opportunity to work with a world leading technology brand in a cutting edge semiconductor manufacturing facility sounds like the ideal next step for your career, please apply with your up-to-date CV or contact the Manpower team today on !
