Embedded Software Engineer

The primary focus of the role is developing C++ code for embedded electronic systems and products.</p><p><br><br>Learn more about the general tasks related to this opportunity below, as well as required skills.<br></p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>Design and develop robust software in C/C++ for embedded platforms</p><p>Create and maintain technical documentation to support design decisions</p><p>Ensure software operates reliably and meets functional specifications</p><p>Shape the long-term direction of software architecture and capabilities</p><p>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative technology within real-world constraints</p><p>Develop and maintain test suites, including unit and integration tests</p><p>Implement and troubleshoot hardware interfaces and data protocols (e.g., CAN, UART, TCP/IP)</p><p>Build and maintain user-facing applications using both commercial and open-source toolkits</p><p>Work closely with hardware and firmware engineers to align system-level behaviour</p><p>Assist in scoping projects, breaking down requirements, and mentoring junior engineers</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Candidate</strong></p><p>Strong experience programming in C++ for embedded systems</p><p>Experienced with xwzovoh testing practices and tools</p><p>Experience working in Linux-based environments</p><p>Exposure to platforms like Xilinx or PetaLinux whighly beneficial, but not essential</p><p>A collaborative team player with an eye for clean, maintainable code</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Offer</strong></p><p>Offering up to £65,000, hybrid working model with flexible working hours, private medical cover and relocation support available.</p>
