<p><strong>Electrician (Lighting & Electrical Projects)</strong></p><p> <strong>Location:</strong> Bristol| <strong>Full-Time</strong> | <strong>Mitie</strong></p><p><br><br>You can get further details about the nature of this opening, and what is expected from applicants, by reading the below.<br></p><p><strong>Job Overview</strong></p><p>We are seeking an <strong>experienced Electrician</strong> to undertake all aspects of <strong>electrical and LED lighting installations</strong>, including minor works, testing, and inspection where applicable.</p><p>The role involves delivering lighting and electrical projects across <strong>retail, industrial, commercial, and government sectors</strong>, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Main Duties & Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Carry out <strong>LED lighting</strong> and <strong>electrical installations</strong> to the required standards.</li><li>Collaborate closely with the <strong>Lighting Project Team</strong>, <strong>subcontractors</strong>, and <strong>Project Manager</strong> to meet project deadlines and quality objectives.</li><li>Work from <strong>electrical drawings</strong>, including installation, circuit, and schematic diagrams.</li><li>Ensure all work is completed <strong>safely, efficiently, and to specification</strong> with minimal rework.</li><li>Maintain a good working knowledge of <strong>Health & Safety legislation</strong> and adhere to all site safety protocols.</li><li>Accurately complete all <strong>work-related documentation</strong> (reports, timesheets, inspection records, etc.).</li><li>Take responsibility for the <strong>company vehicle</strong>, tools, and materials.</li><li>Work <strong>nights and away from home</strong> as required (majority of work occurs outside of normal working hours, Monday to Friday).</li><li>Undertake additional duties as instructed by the Project Manager.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Fully qualified to <strong>18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671)</strong>.</li><li><strong>2383-18</strong> 18th Edition Update certification.</li><li><strong>2391-52 Test & Inspection</strong> – desirable (training available if required).</li><li><strong>SSSTS accreditation</strong> – desirable (training available if required).</li><li>Knowledge of <strong>EV charging units</strong> – desirable (training available if required).</li><li><strong>IPAF</strong> and/or <strong>PASMA</strong> certifications – desirable (training available if required).</li><li>Ability to work at heights (up to 3 metres) and lift weights up to 25kg.</li><li>Must be able to <strong>work nights and travel/stay away from home</strong>.</li><li>Strong understanding of <strong>Health & Safety legislation</strong> and safe working practices.</li><li><strong>Full UK driving licence</strong> (essential).</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Skills & Attributes</strong></p><ul><li>Strong <strong>customer service</strong> and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to <strong>prioritise workload</strong> and meet deadlines under pressure.</li><li>Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.</li><li>Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.</li><li>Willingness to adapt to <strong>technical advancements</strong> and attend training as needed. xwzovoh </li><li>Professional, diligent, and committed to quality workmanship.</li></ul>
