Working alongside senior stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners, you’ll play a key role in designing, planning, and delivering reliable power systems from concept through to execution and post-event analysis.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a varied role combining engineering design, project coordination, and on-site delivery.</p><p><br></p><p>What You’ll Be Doing</p><p><br></p><p>Planning & Coordination</p><ul><li>Develop and manage project timelines across multiple events</li><li>Carry out site assessments and evaluate venue requirements</li><li>Translate stakeholder needs into clear project scopes</li><li>Design electrical layouts, including cable routing and system overlays</li><li>Collaborate with energy providers on generation, storage, and distribution strategies</li><li>Identify health, safety, and regulatory requirements early in the planning phase</li><li>Coordinate logistics such as equipment, fuel, and on-site infrastructure</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Project Development</p><ul><li>Establish and refine delivery processes and project frameworks</li><li>Implement systems for monitoring, data capture, and reporting</li><li>Support cost planning, budgeting, and value engineering initiatives</li><li>Produce and manage documentation such as SoWs and SLAs</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement and programme expansion</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Delivery & Execution</p><ul><li>Oversee installation and commissioning activities on-site</li><li>Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, suppliers, and venue teams</li><li>Manage testing, client sign-off, and acceptance processes</li><li>Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical and safety standards</li><li>Monitor project performance, including costs and variations</li><li>Produce post-event performance and energy usage reports</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Engineering & Technical Support</p><ul><li>Provide electrical design input across multiple projects</li><li>Produce both high-level concepts and detailed technical designs</li><li>Advise on system protection, component selection, and circuit configuration</li><li>Create and maintain technical drawings using CAD tools</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Additional Duties</p><ul><li>Support live event operations, including international travel when required</li><li>Collaborate with wider teams to ensure seamless delivery across functions</li><li>Provide additional operational support during event periods</li></ul><p><br></p><p>What You’ll Bring</p><p><br></p><p>Essential Experience</p><ul><li>Background in industrial or commercial electrical installation</li><li>Experience delivering temporary power solutions for events, broadcast, or similar environments</li><li>Strong project delivery experience in complex environments</li><li>Familiarity with testing, commissioning, and client acceptance processes</li><li>Understanding of commercial, procurement, and budget management principles</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Desirable Experience</p><ul><li>Exposure to data monitoring systems such as SCADA or HMI</li><li>Experience using project management tools or systems</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Qualifications </p><ul><li>Electrical Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, or Degree)</li><li>Recognised electrician certification (e.g. xwzovoh NVQ Level 3, AM2, JIB Gold Card)</li><li>Testing & Inspection certification</li><li>Knowledge of temporary power standards (e.g. BS7909)</li><li>Project Management certification (e.g. PMP or equivalent)</li><li>Electrical design qualifications</li><li>Relevant site certifications (e.g. IPAF, plant operation licences)</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Technical Capability</p><ul><li>Strong electrical design and specification skills</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design tools</li><li>Experience with power systems including generators, UPS, and battery storage</li><li>Understanding of automation and monitoring systems</li><li>Knowledge of UK and European electrical regulations</li><li>Strong IT skills, particularly Excel for analysis and reporting</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Personal Attributes</p><ul><li>Self-driven with a proactive mindset</li><li>Strong problem-solving ability</li><li>Comfortable adapting to changing priorities</li><li>Clear and confident communicator</li><li>Collaborative and solutions-focused</li><li>Highly organised with strong attention to detail</li><li>Professional, dependable, and quality-driven</li></ul>
