You’ll be someone who can confidently operate across multiple sites, influence stakeholders, and turn complex challenges into practical, high-quality solutions.</p><p><br></p><p>If you have a passion for electrical compliance, infrastructure, and energy improvement, and enjoy combining hands-on engineering with project delivery — this is a role where you can genuinely shape performance, safety, and sustainability.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>About the role</strong></p><p><br></p><p>As Electrical & Energy Project Engineer, you’ll provide electrical engineering expertise across all UK & Ireland sites, ensuring compliance, reliability, and continuous improvement of infrastructure.</p><p><br></p><p>You’ll act as the single point of contact for High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems, while also leading projects focused on automation, efficiency, and energy reduction.</p><p>This is a highly impactful, multi-site role combining engineering depth with project management responsibility.</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Ensure full electrical compliance across all UK & Ireland sites</li><li>Act as the technical lead for HV and LV infrastructure, including maintenance and support</li><li>Lead electrical, automation, and sustainability projects to improve safety and efficiency</li><li>Support site infrastructure development and long-term asset plans</li><li>Monitor and analyse energy consumption, identifying opportunities for reduction</li><li>Champion energy-saving initiatives through technology, process, and behavioural change</li><li>Provide expert troubleshooting and technical support across multiple sites</li><li>Manage supplier and maintenance contracts to ensure cost efficiency and performance</li><li>Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, and Leadership teams</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>About you</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Apprentice-trained in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)</li><li>HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering</li><li>Current BS7671 wiring regulations certification</li><li>Electrical Duty Holder training</li><li>HV Authorised Person (desirable)</li><li>Strong experience in electrical engineering within manufacturing environments</li><li>Proven track record in project management across multiple sites</li><li>In-depth knowledge of electrical compliance, including Electricity at Work Regulations</li><li>Experience managing HV and LV systems as a technical authority</li><li>High level of IT literacy (Microsoft Office essential; AutoCAD / MS Project desirable)</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Why Join Us</strong></p><p><br></p><p>At Wavin, we’re driven by a clear purpose: building healthy, sustainable environments for future generations.
