Are you based in or around Corby?</p><p>We are supporting TATA Steel with a permanent opportunity for an Electrical Craft Team Member to join their Corby works. Corby works are undergoing substantial investment and development to drive the organisation's mission of being a sustainable steel provider. The successful applicant will be a time served Electrician who has worked in heavy industry, carrying out maintenance craft work.</p><p>The successful applicant will be a time served electrician with experience in a Heavy Industrial environment and in a maintenance capacity.</p><p>Role: Electrician (Electrical Craft)</p><p>Location: TATA Steel, Weldon Rd, Corby NN17 5UA</p><p>Rate: £36,779 - £37,586</p><p>(£31,982 basic plus 15% shift allowance, rising to £32,684 plus 15% shift allowance after probation)</p><p>Shifts: Rotating pattern of days, lates and nights Mon-Fri.</p><p>Start: ASAP but pending the successful result of a medical assessment. (This does include a drug and alcohol test)</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems across the plant</li><li>Performing planned and reactive maintenance to minimize downtime</li><li>Troubleshooting relay control circuits, AC/DC motors, and various types of drives</li><li>Conducting basic PLC fault finding on Siemens S, and 1500 systems</li><li>Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and working with computerized maintenance management systems (MMS)</li><li>Contributing to plant reliability and efficiency by identifying and implementing improvement projects</li><li>Adhering to strict Health and Safety protocols and SSOW</li><li>Supporting with improvement initiatives within the department</li></ul><p>Essential requirements:</p><ul><li>Qualified Electrician who has completed a time served apprenticeship</li><li>Previous experience (2+ years) within a Heavy Industrial environment</li><li>Ability to be fully flexible and adhere to the shift pattern</li><li>Driving Licence and access to own vehicle (due to the shifts)</li><li>Experience with low voltage systems, drives and PLC's</li><li>Ability to fault find and conduct root cause failure analysis</li><li>Familiarity with SAP or equivalent system</li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation</li><li>18th edition (desirable)</li></ul><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>35 days holidays per annum</li><li>Annual Pay Review</li><li>Quarterly Bonus Scheme - subject to business performance</li><li>One of the UK's leading defined contribution pension schemes (10% employer contribution / 6% employee contribution)</li><li>Employee Assistance Programme for financial, mental and physical support</li><li>Employee discount scheme including discounts with Vodafone and Jaguar Land Rover</li><li>Opportunity for progression into senior positions</li><li>Ability to learn, grow and develop with additional training and funded courses</li></ul><p>Does this role sound interesting?
