<p><strong>Director of Finance, Property & Resources </strong></p><br>Scroll down the page to see all associated job requirements, and any responsibilities successful candidates can expect.<br> <p><b>Salary:</b> Up to £70,000 per annum<br> <b>Location:</b> Hybrid / Chichester, typically 3 days in the office with some travel across West Sussex</p> <p><b>Applications for this role close at 9 a.m. Friday 19th June.</b></p> <p>We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded <b>Director of Finance, Property & Resources</b> to join our senior leadership team at a pivotal point in our development.</p> <p>This is a high-profile leadership role offering the opportunity to shape financial strategy, influence organisational direction, and oversee a diverse portfolio spanning <b>finance, property and organisational resources</b>.</p> <p><b>The Role</b></p> <p>Reporting to the CEO, you will play a critical role in driving the organisation’s financial sustainability and operational effectiveness.</p> <p><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Providing strategic financial leadership, ensuring robust planning, reporting and governance</li> <li>Leading the development of a <b>medium-term financial strategy</b> aligned to organisational priorities</li> <li>Partnering with the CEO and Board to support <b>evidence-based decision-making</b></li> <li>Overseeing a varied <b>property portfolio</b>, ensuring effective financial management and risk oversight</li> <li>Leading and developing a small, multi-disciplinary team across finance and support functions</li> <li>Contributing fully as a member of the senior leadership team, shaping wider organisational strategy.</li> </ul> <p>This is a broad and hands-on role, requiring both <b>strategic insight and operational delivery</b>.</p> <p><b>About You</b></p> <p>We are looking for a <b>qualified finance leader</b> who thrives in a purposeful, fast-paced environment.</p> <p><strong>You will bring:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A recognised <b>accountancy qualification</b> (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)</li> <li>Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role (e.g. Head of Finance / Finance Director)</li> <li>Strong technical expertise in financial planning, reporting and governance</li> <li>The ability to <b>operate at both strategic and operational levels</b></li> <li>Experience leading and developing teams</li> <li>Confidence-building relationships with senior stakeholders, including Board-level engagement</li> </ul> <p><strong>We welcome applications from candidates across:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Commercial/corporate environments</li> <li>Public sector (e.g. NHS, education)</li> <li>Not-for-profit / charity organisations</li> </ul> <p>Experience of working with <b>property, estates or asset-related financial oversight</b> would be advantageous, but is not essential.</p> <p>What matters most is your ability to bring <b>clarity, insight and leadership</b> to a broad and evolving brief.</p> <p><b>What We’re Looking For</b></p> <p>We are looking for a <b>hands-on leader</b> who is comfortable working in a lean team.
