Are you an experienced driven Design Manager who is looking for the next step in your career?<br><br>While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.<br><br>This is a great opportunity to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor who are looking for a Design Manager to join their team in Leeds, West Yorkshire. They have been established for over 25 years and specialise in construction and multi-million pound frameworks, working on a variety of projects that can be valued up to £500m+<br><br>The company work across multiple sectors including the healthcare, education, residential and leisure, as well as large scale major projects and public sector.<br><br>The role - Design Manager<br><br>Manage the on-site design process, commencing at 'RIBA Stage 5 - Construction, in accordance with the Design Management processes and procedures.<br><br>The project is based in West Yorkshire and will be working closely with the Design team, assisting them with their daily duties on a multi-million pound construction project.<br><br>Duties include but are not limited to:<br><br>Monitor and advise on the procurement of specialist subcontractor's design input in accordance with the Design Programme.<br>Ensure that the requirements of the Design Management Plan (DMP) and the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) are achieved by all specialist design subcontractors.<br>Assist in the commercial and technical review of specialist subcontract tender returns.<br>Monitor and advise on the progress and production of specialist subcontractor's design documentation (Design Deliverables) in accordance with the agreed Design Programme.<br>Monitor the flow of shared and published design documentation.<br>Undertake elemental coordination and technical compliance checks on specialist subcontractor design documentation.<br>Obtain specialist subcontractor samples and technical literature for approval in accordance with the design programme / tracker.<br>Obtain specialist subcontractor design risk assessments for review and approval in accordance with the design programme / tracker.<br>Chair and record the outcomes of the specialist subcontractor design coordination workshops.<br>Obtain responses to specialist subcontractor TQs from the primary designers.<br>Record minor changes (coordination) to primary and secondary design work in order to facilitate the updating of As-Built records.<br>Undertake design performance reviews for all specialist design subcontractors.<br>Assist the Document Controller in archiving all final issue design documentation, for all As-Built Drawings, O&M Manuals, Health and Safety File and Post Construction Stage BREEAM certificate.<br>Undertake design autopsies on specialist subcontractor design defects.<br>Produce a project specific Best Practice / Lessons Learnt paper.<br>Required Skills/Experience:<br><br>Relevant industry degree/qualification<br>Previous experience working on similar projects would be preferred but not essential.<br>Previous experience working with a main contractor.<br>What's on offer?<br><br>The company are offering excellent career opportunities with a clear path to progression as well as a continual professional development program. <br><br>They are also offering an excellent basic salary, car allowance, pension contribution, healthcare, 25 Days Holiday + bank holidays. xwzovoh <br><br>How to apply?<br><br>Please apply directly to this advert or for more information please call Alex Cocker at the Sheffield F&R office (North) on (phone number removed) (Option 3)
