Our client, a reputable organisation within the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Cyber Threat Intelligence Practitioner for a contracting role.<br><br>Is this the role you are looking for If so read on for more details, and make sure to apply today.<br><br>This position presents a unique opportunity to apply your analytical skills and knowledge in cyber intelligence to protect critical infrastructure and national security.<br><br>Key Responsibilities: Takes ownership of a geographic or thematic area of responsibility for focused threat research.<br><br>Produces operational and tactical level reports on cyber threats.<br><br>Delivers threat intelligence briefs to internal cross-functional stakeholders.<br><br>Supports a collaborative culture within cyber operations that is intelligence-informed and proactive.<br><br>Collaborates with the Collections and Requirements CTI function to address Requests for Information and satisfy Intelligence Requirements.<br><br>Advises on Cyber Threat Levels in line with threat intelligence assessments.<br><br>Engages with commercial and external stakeholders and partners to share intelligence effectively.<br><br>Acts as a trusted advisor, preparing and presenting complex intelligence information.<br><br>Adheres to legal, regulatory, ethical, and professional standards governing intelligence collection and data privacy.<br><br>Core Duties: Collect and aggregate data from various sources to develop actionable intelligence.<br><br>Monitor cyber threat landscapes, including OSINT, dark web, and internal security alerts.<br><br>Provide timely intelligence during security incidents to support containment and remediation efforts.<br><br>Develop detailed threat intelligence reports, briefings, and notifications.<br><br>Investigate threat actor behaviours to identify indicators of compromise.<br><br>Assess, validate, and report information on current and potential cyber threats.<br><br>Advise on geographic and thematic cyber threats to stakeholders.<br><br>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the external threat landscape and collaborate with other teams.<br><br>Job Requirements: Awareness of various intelligence practices and disciplines (OSINT, HUMINT, SIGINT).<br><br>Experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence with a good understanding of related techniques and best practices.<br><br>Knowledge of the cyber threat landscape, current affairs, and geopolitics.<br><br>Theoretical understanding of tracking cyber threat groups.<br><br>Understanding of structured analytical techniques in cyber threat intelligence analysis.<br><br>Awareness of security threats, exposures, and risk management.<br><br>Knowledge of network protocols such as HTTP(S), SMTP, TCP, SSL/TLS.<br><br>Knowledge of OSINT collection, toolsets, and analysis.<br><br>Strong communication skills for articulating complex ideas to broad audiences.<br><br>Proactive approach to learning and professional development.<br><br>Understanding of relevant industry standard frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, D3FEND).<br><br>Innovative approach to problem-solving.<br><br>Sensitivity to team dynamics and ability to work well in various technical and non-technical groups.<br><br>Ability to obtain UK Government SC clearance. xwzovoh <br><br>If you are a dedicated Cyber Analyst seeking a challenging contract role in the Defence & Security sector, we would love to hear from you.<br><br>Apply now to join our client's dynamic and impactful team.
