<p><strong>Cost Engineer – Offshore Wind (Contract)</strong></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Hybrid working</p><p><strong>Rate:</strong> Outside IR35</p><p><strong>Contract:</strong> 6 month from start </p><p><br><br>Make sure to read the full description below, and please apply immediately if you are confident you meet all the requirements.<br></p><p><br></p><p>Matchtech is supporting an International developer in securing a Cost Engineer to support major UK offshore wind projects. This is a key commercial role within large scale renewable energy developments, supporting cost control, forecasting and financial governance from investment decision through to completion.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Create and manage project cost forecasts and cash flow schedules</li><li>Monitor and record the financial impact of change requests</li><li>Control and verify project expenditure, invoices and supplier claims</li><li>Identify financial risks and report to the Project Finance Director</li><li>Support monthly reporting and project finance requirements</li><li>FX hedge monitoring and hedge accounting inputs</li><li>Support OFTO asset valuation and regulated divestment processes</li><li>Ensure compliance with internal controls and governance standards</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Strong experience in cost / project management on renewable or large infrastructure projects</li><li>Advanced Excel skills (essential)</li><li>SAP, Power BI or similar ERP system experience</li><li>Knowledge of construction contracts and package management</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work in a matrix organisation</li><li>Comfortable operating in a dynamic, international project environment</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Desirable</strong></p><ul><li>Quantity Surveyor qualification or equivalent</li><li>Additional European languages</li></ul><p><br></p><p>The role hybrid working with time required to travel to Head officeas agreed between the hiring manager and successful candidate. xwzovoh Travel costs to/from the base location are not chargeable.</p><p><br></p><p>If you are an experienced cost professional looking to contribute to some of the UK’s most significant offshore wind developments, we would like to hear from you.</p>
