<p><strong>Consultant in Adult Psychiatry – PICU & Home Treatment Team (HTT)</strong></p><p> North Wales | Permanent | 10 PAs | £106,000–£154,760 DOE</p><p><br><br>The full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have.<br></p><p>I’m recruiting on behalf of an NHS service in <strong>North Wales</strong> for a <strong>Consultant in Adult Psychiatry</strong> to work across a <strong>Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)</strong> and <strong>Home Treatment Team (HTT)</strong>.</p><p><br></p><p>If you’re passionate about acute psychiatry and enjoy a mix of intensive inpatient work and intensive community treatment, this role offers genuine clinical variety and leadership opportunity.</p><p><br></p><p> The Role</p><ul><li><strong>10 PA contract</strong> – 7 DCC, 3 SPA (with <strong>1 SPA from home</strong>).</li><li>Clinical leadership as <strong>Responsible Clinician</strong> for:</li><li>Patients admitted to <strong>PICU</strong> (regional service, accepting referrals from other areas).</li><li>Patients under the <strong>HTT</strong>, supporting admission avoidance and early discharge.</li><li>Active role in:</li><li>Assessment of new admissions, risk assessments and management plans.</li><li>Regular psychiatric reviews, MDT meetings & collaborative working with Acute Care and Community teams.</li><li>Clinical supervision of junior doctors, wider clinical staff and medical students.</li><li>Clinical audit, governance and service development within Acute Care pathways.</li></ul><p><br></p><p> Essential Requirements</p><ul><li>Full <strong>GMC registration</strong> with licence to practise and:</li><li>On the <strong>Specialist Register</strong> in Psychiatry, or within <strong>6 months of CCT</strong>.</li><li><strong>Section 12</strong> approved, or able to achieve within <strong>3 months</strong>.</li><li><strong>MRCPsych</strong> or equivalent acceptable to the Royal College of Psychiatrists.</li><li>Valid <strong>UK driving licence</strong>.</li></ul><p><br></p><p> What’s on Offer</p><ul><li><strong>£106,000 – £154,760</strong> per annum (DOE).</li><li><strong>34 days annual leave</strong> per year.</li><li><strong>30 days study leave</strong> per 3 years.</li><li>Opportunity to shape and influence both <strong>PICU and HTT services</strong> within a supportive multi-disciplinary environment.</li></ul><p><br></p><p> <strong>Interested or want an informal chat?</strong></p><p> Send me a message here on LinkedIn or share your CV, and I’ll provide the full job description and talk you through the service and location. xwzovoh </p><p><br></p><p> <strong>Click “Easy Apply” or share this with a colleague who might be looking for a new consultant post in Adult Psychiatry.</strong></p>
