Our client located in Basildon is growing their team, and looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join them!</p><p>Job Title: CNC Turner</p><p>Location: Basildon, Essex</p><p>Salary: £18.00 – £21.00 per hour (depending on experience)</p><p>Job Type: Full-time, Permanent</p><p>Company Overview</p><p>A well-established precision engineering company based in Basildon is looking to expand its skilled workforce with the addition of an experienced CNC Turner. The business operates within high-spec manufacturing sectors and prides itself on quality, precision, and reliability.</p><p>Role Overview</p><p>The CNC Turner will be responsible for setting, operating, and programming CNC lathes to produce precision components in line with detailed engineering drawings. This is a hands-on role suited to a motivated individual with a strong background in CNC machining and a keen eye for detail.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Set, operate, and program CNC turning machines (Fanuc controls preferred)</li><li>Work from detailed engineering drawings and specifications</li><li>Produce high-quality components to tight tolerances</li><li>Conduct first-off inspections and in-process checks using measuring equipment</li><li>Make program edits and tooling adjustments as required</li><li>Ensure efficient machine operation and minimise downtime</li><li>Maintain a safe and organised working environment</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues across production and quality departments</li></ul><p>Candidate Requirements</p><ul><li>Proven experience as a CNC Turner in a precision engineering environment</li><li>Strong knowledge of CNC setting and operation; programming experience highly desirable</li><li>Experience using Fanuc controls</li><li>Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings</li><li>Skilled in the use of inspection and measuring equipment (e.g. micrometers, verniers)</li><li>High attention to detail and commitment to quality</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li></ul><p>Desirable Skills & Experience</p><ul><li>Experience working with a variety of materials including stainless steel, aluminium, and exotic alloys</li><li>Background in subcontract or batch production environments</li><li>Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification</li></ul><p>Working Hours</p><ul><li>Monday to Friday</li><li>Day shift (overtime available)</li></ul><p>Benefits</p><ul><li>Competitive hourly rate (£18–£21 per hour DOE)</li><li>Overtime opportunities at enhanced rates</li><li>Pension scheme</li><li>20 days holiday plus bank holidays</li><li>Stable, long-term employment with progression opportunities</li></ul><p>How to Apply</p><p>To apply for this exclusive opportunity, please submit an up-to-date CV by clicking the Apply button, or contact me directly for a confidential discussion.</p><p>If you have not been contacted by A1 Personnel within two weeks of submitting your application, please assume that your CV has not been shortlisted on this occasion. xwzovoh </p><p>A1 Personnel is acting as a specialist recruitment consultancy in relation to this vacancy.</p>
