<p>Job Description</p><br>Apply fast, check the full description by scrolling below to find out the full requirements for this role.<br><p>Classroom Teaching Assistant – Full Time</p><p>Location: Fulwood, PrestonStart Date: September 2026Contract: Full-time, fixed-term (initially until December 2026, with potential extension)Pay Rate: £14.25 per hourHours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 3:30pm</p><p>The Role</p><p>We are looking to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic Classroom Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive school based in Fulwood, Preston. This full-time role involves providing general classroom support across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping pupils to engage with learning and reach their full potential.</p><p>You will work closely with class teachers to support whole-class learning as well as small group and occasional 1:1 support where required.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Support pupils across KS1 and KS2 within the classroom environment</li><li>Assist the class teacher with the delivery of lessons and learning activities</li><li>Provide small group and individual support to reinforce learning</li><li>Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive engagement</li><li>Support the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources</li><li>Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment</li></ul><p>Ideal Candidate</p><ul><li>Previous experience working in a school or classroom setting is desirable</li><li>Positive, proactive, and adaptable approach</li><li>Strong communication and teamwork skills</li><li>Passion for supporting children’s learning and development</li><li>Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are advantageous but not essential</li></ul><p>What’s on Offer</p><ul><li>Competitive hourly rate of £14.25</li><li>Full-time, term-time hours</li><li>Supportive school environment</li><li>Potential opportunity for the role to be extended beyond December 2026</li></ul><p>All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
