Job Description: Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable class 2(cat C) multi drop driver to join our team, delivering to retail outlets across Scotland.<br><br>The information below covers the role requirements, expected candidate experience, and accompanying qualifications.<br><br>The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations.<br><br>This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic regulations while ensuring timely deliveries.<br><br>Experience in commercial driving, is highly desirable.<br><br>Responsibilities Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.<br><br>Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.<br><br>Load and unload goods, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.<br><br>Maintain accurate delivery records and logs, including mileage and fuel consumption.<br><br>Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.<br><br>Follow company policies and procedures for safe driving practices and vehicle maintenance.<br><br>Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.<br><br>Skills Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role within commercial driving.<br><br>Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for safe driving.<br><br>Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.<br><br>Good communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.<br><br>Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.<br><br>A valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle class being operated is essential.<br><br>Typical day As a Class 2 (Cat C) Multi-Drop Delivery Driver operating- a rigid vehicle (typically 26-tonne) to deliver goods to multiple locationsoften 5 to 10 stops daily.<br><br>The role requires loading/unloading pallets & cages using tail lifts & electric pallet trucks, frequent manual handling of goods, navigating tight spaces, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing time.<br><br>Starting time of 6:30, being flexible on working hours due to route and capacity constraints, customer demand, traffic conditions, vehicle capacity, and geographic routing optimization. xwzovoh <br><br>We invite you to apply if you possess the required skills and are eager to contribute to our dedicated team of professionals in the transportation industry.<br><br>Job Type: Full-time Additional pay: Discretionary bonus scheme (on completion of Qualifying Period) Benefits: Company pension 28 days of annual leave Free parking On-site parking Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday Tuesday to Saturday 3 or 4 days per week working considered Experience: Class 2 Driving: 1 year (preferred) Multi-drop experience would be advantageous but is not essential Licence/Certification: Class 2 Driving Licence (essential) Valid Driver CPC (essential) Valid Driver Tacho Card (essential) Work Location: In person
