£55–65k DOE</strong></p><p><br></p><p>We are supporting a rapidly scaling clean technology engineering business developing next-generation high-power EV charging infrastructure for commercial vehicle applications.</p><p><br></p><p>With major growth plans and involvement in large-scale transport electrification programmes, the business is seeking a Civil Infrastructure Design Engineer to support the delivery of EV charging sites from feasibility and concept design through to detailed construction packs and deployment.</p><p><br></p><p>This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-moving engineering environment where you will play a key role in delivering critical charging infrastructure projects supporting the transition to zero-emission transport.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>You will be responsible for the design and coordination of EV charging infrastructure layouts and civil works packages, supporting projects across the full delivery lifecycle.</p><p><br></p><p>Working closely with electrical, mechanical, and project delivery teams, you will help develop practical, buildable infrastructure solutions for high-power charging installations.</p><p><br></p><p>The role would suit someone with direct EV charging infrastructure experience who enjoys taking ownership of projects and operating within a collaborative scale-up environment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p>Infrastructure Design & Project Delivery</p><ul><li>Produce civil and infrastructure designs for EV charging sites from feasibility through to construction issue</li><li>Develop detailed site layouts, equipment positioning, trenching routes, ducting, drainage, and access arrangements</li><li>Create and maintain AutoCAD 2D drawings and technical documentation</li><li>Support the preparation of full construction and installation packs</li><li>Coordinate design activities with project managers, contractors, utilities, and multidisciplinary engineering teams</li><li>Support planning, permitting, and stakeholder engagement activities where required</li></ul><p>Technical Coordination</p><ul><li>Work closely with electrical and hardware engineering teams to ensure successful integration of charging infrastructure</li><li>Support utility connection activities including DNO coordination and substation integration</li><li>Contribute to cable routing, containment, and infrastructure planning activities</li><li>Assist with design reviews, constructability assessments, and technical problem-solving</li><li>Support site surveys and occasional deployment activities</li></ul><p>Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement</p><ul><li>Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, regulations, and best practices</li><li>Support documentation control and engineering change processes</li><li>Contribute to improving engineering processes, templates, and delivery methodologies</li><li>Help drive efficient and scalable infrastructure design practices across projects</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Experience & Skills Required</strong></p><p>Essential</p><ul><li>Experience delivering EV charging infrastructure or similar electrical infrastructure projects</li><li>Strong AutoCAD 2D capability</li><li>Experience producing site layouts and construction-ready design documentation</li><li>Good understanding of civil infrastructure design and coordination</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously xwzovoh </li><li>Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills</li><li>Comfortable operating in a fast-paced engineering or scale-up environment</li></ul><p>Highly Desirable</p><ul><li>Direct experience designing DC fast charging or high-power EV charging sites</li><li>Understanding of DNO processes, utility coordination, and substation integration</li><li>Knowledge of cable sizing, containment, and electrical infrastructure layouts</li><li>Experience working alongside electrical engineering teams</li><li>Familiarity with UK infrastructure and construction standards</li><li>Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline preferred, though not essential with relevant experience</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Package & Working Arrangement</strong></p><ul><li>Salary £55,000 – £65,000 DOE</li><li>Hybrid working – minimum 2 days onsite in
