FM33264 CHP Field Engineer £39,740 Basic Salary £4,128 South Weighting South M4 Based Alecto Recruitment is working with a leading company in the power generation and renewable energy sector, who are seeking a CHP Field Engineer to support the operation, maintenance, and optimisation of generator assets across multiple sites.<br><br>Make sure to apply quickly in order to maximise your chances of being considered for an interview Read the complete job description below.<br><br>This is a regional role with travel across the UK and occasional stayaways, offering a hands-on position within a growing and technically diverse environment.<br><br>Benefits On-call payment of up to £2,000 pa.<br><br>Overtime available up to 8 hours per week.<br><br>Pension (5.5% employer, 3.5% employee contributions).<br><br>Annual Company Performance-related bonus scheme.<br><br>Gas safe and 18th Edition certificates available.<br><br>Key Responsibilities & Tasks Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and repair on CHP plant, generators, and associated electrical and mechanical systems.<br><br>Support installation, commissioning, and integration of new equipment and sites.<br><br>Assist and guide Operations staff with servicing, breakdowns, and routine maintenance.<br><br>Maintain and inspect plant including pumps, motors, PV systems, energy storage, and heat equipment.<br><br>Ensure compliance with HSQE standards, company procedures, and legislation.<br><br>Manage spare parts, stock control, and complete all required documentation and records.<br><br>Participate in on-call rota and respond to emergency breakdowns when required.<br><br>Monitor site performance, support audits, and handle environmental responsibilities including incident response.<br><br>Supervise contractors and represent the company professionally on site.<br><br>Skills & Requirements Electrical qualification or relevant engineering experience.<br><br>Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and heat systems maintenance.<br><br>Experience with control systems (12V DC<br>- 415V AC).<br><br>Proven fault finding and diagnostic ability.<br><br>Gas Safe certification (or willingness to obtain).<br><br>18th Edition qualification (or willingness to achieve).<br><br>Experience with CHP, gas engines, PV, energy storage or HVAC systems desirable.<br><br>Full UK driving licence and basic IT skills required.<br><br>INDW To apply for this role please send your CV to or call ext 220 to discuss. xwzovoh <br><br>Equally, if this role would not be of interest to you but may be for a suitable friend or colleague, we can offer paid referral fees for successful placements.
