World Class Defence Organisation is currently looking to recruit 5x C# / C++ Software Engineer subcontractors on an initial 12 month contract. <br><br>Experience, qualification, and soft skills, have you got everything required to succeed in this opportunity Find out below.<br><br>Desktop C# is the expertise the department are looking for; with some experience with C++ but doesn’t need to be overly extensive.<br><br>Job Title: C# / C++ Software Engineer<br>Rate: £65.00 per hour<br>Overtime Rate: Hours worked over 37 hours per week will be calculated at ‘time and a quarter’<br>Location: Stevenage or Bristol (depending on your preference)<br>Hybrid / Remote working: The role will be a hybrid role of 3 or 4 days per week onsite<br>Contract: 37 Hours per week<br>Duration: 12 Months (initially and then ongoing and long-term thereafter)<br>IR35 status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella)<br><br>C# / C++ Software Engineer Job Description:<br><br>WSSE are integral in the development of weapon systems and system architectures, and as a result we have developed a capability supporting developments across the full product life cycle. <br> <br>The team integrate real products, models and synthetic environments to provide visualisations, demonstrations, verification & validation as well as training capability and support.<br><br>The role support the development of the worlds most advanced defence systems from the initial concept all the way through to in service support and training, using a range of simulation technologies, including digital twins and emulators.<br>Working with Project Leads and Simulation Architects to design and develop simulation components as an end to end representation of a weapon System in a synthetic environment using C#, C++ and integration simulations, supporting a number of industry standards.<br>You will work as part of a heterogeneous agile development team, made up of mixed discipline engineers working in synergy to develop simulations and representations of real equipment.<br>Our approach to software development includes<br>Configuration control<br>Continuous Integration<br>Continuous Delivery or Deployment.<br>Unit testing and test driven development. xwzovoh <br>Skillset / experience required:<br><br>Proficient in C#<br>C++ experience would be great<br>Microsoft Visual Studio, Eclipse,<br>Ability to work from high level/system view into technical detail.<br>Knowledge of using Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems<br>Non-essential:<br><br>Distributed simulation standards / Protocols (DIS, HLA, DDS) and web services development (JavaScript, Node JS or similar) Military Communications,<br>Datalinks and Interfaces such as 1553/1760 and Ethernet TCP/IP<br>Practical knowledge of System integration principles and processes
