<p><strong>Business Development Manager – Field Based </strong></p><p><strong>(Alcoholic beverage industry)</strong></p><p><br><br>Is this your next job Read the full description below to find out, and do not hesitate to make an application.<br></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> North Devon & Somerset (ideal base: Taunton or surrounding areas)</p><p><strong>Job Type:</strong> Full-time, Monday to Friday </p><p><strong>Salary:</strong> £35,000–£40,000 + 15% annual bonus</p><p><strong>Benefits:</strong> Company car, product allowance, industry training, career progression</p><p><br></p><p><strong>About the Company:</strong></p><p>Our client is a well-established, award-winning drinks producer with a strong regional presence and a commitment to natural, high-quality production.</p><p>Operating from a heritage site in Devon, they combine traditional craft with modern innovation to produce a portfolio of premium ciders.</p><p><br></p><p>Following continued growth and a successful hire within the team, they are now looking to appoint a high-calibre Sales Account Manager to take ownership of a key Southwest territory.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Role Summary:</strong></p><p>You’ll be covering North Devon, Somerset, and some Dorset.</p><p><br></p><ul><li>North Devon is more established, existing accounts, relationship management, growing spend </li><li>Somerset/Dorset is where you’ll be winning new business and building the patch out </li></ul><p><br></p><p>This is a field-based sales position, you’ll be out 4-5 days a week, visiting clients and new prospects within pubs, bars, restaurants, wholesalers. You’ll be speaking to decision makers, building relationships, and getting product in front of people.</p><p>But most importantly, this role is about owning your patch and growing it.</p><p>They’re targeting around 20% growth, so it suits someone who’s commercially minded and enjoys the thrives in delivery new business as well as managing key clients.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Manage and grow an existing portfolio of on-trade and wholesale accounts </li><li>Identify and win new business across Somerset and surrounding areas </li><li>Build strong, long-term relationships through regular face-to-face meetings </li><li>Deliver product tastings, training, and brand education </li><li>Negotiate listings, pricing, promotions, and visibility </li><li>Drive territory performance in line with revenue and volume growth targets </li><li>Monitor competitor activity and market trends </li><li>Maintain accurate CRM reporting and pipeline management </li><li>Represent the brand at events, activations, and occasional evening promotions </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Skills & Experience:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>2–3+ years field sales experience</strong> in alcoholic beverages. </li><li>Strong understanding of the <strong>on trade / hospitality sector</strong> xwzovoh </li><li>Experience selling <strong>craft beer, cider, or similar products</strong> highly desirable </li><li>Proven ability to <strong>win new business and manage existing accounts</strong> </li><li>Commercially driven with a track record of hitting or exceeding targets </li><li>Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently </li><li>Willingness to travel extensively across the territory (4–5 days per week) </li><li>Full UK driving licence </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Package & Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li>£35,000–£40,000 base salary (depending on experience) </li><li><strong>15% annual bonus</strong> (paid March, pro rata in year one) </li><li>Company car </li><li>Product allowance </li><li>Industry training and development </li><li>Clear progression opportunities within a growing business </li></ul><p><br></p><p>For a confidential discussion or to apply, please contact: <strong> </strong></p>
