This role involves working closely with pupils who may display challenging behaviour, helping them engage positively with learning and develop essential social and emotional skills.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Support pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social needs (SEMH)</li><li>Implement behaviour management strategies consistently</li><li>Build strong, positive relationships with students</li><li>Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons</li><li>Provide 1:1 and small group support</li><li>Monitor and record student progress and behaviour</li><li>Promote a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment</li></ul><p>The Ideal Candidate Will Have</p><ul><li>Experience working with children or young people (school, care, or youth work setting)</li><li>Strong behaviour management skills</li><li>Patience, empathy, and resilience</li><li>Ability to remain calm under pressure</li><li>A proactive and flexible approach</li><li>Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Team Teach – desirable but not essential)</li></ul><p>What We Offer</p><ul><li>A welcoming and supportive team environment</li><li>Ongoing training and professional development</li><li>Opportunities for career progression</li><li>A rewarding role making a real difference in young people’s lives</li></ul><p>Safeguarding</p><p>This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
