<p>Job Description</p><br>Ensure all your application information is up to date and in order before applying for this opportunity.<br><p>Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant Needed At Secondary PRU!</p><p>Location: Lancaster, LA1Contract: Full-time, Long-Term - 08:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to FridayStart Date: ASAP</p><p>We are recruiting a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a Secondary Pupil Referral Unit in Lancaster on a long-term basis, starting as soon as possible.</p><p>This alternative provision supports pupils aged 11–16 who are struggling to engage with mainstream education. The school offers a caring, safe and supportive environment, delivering high-quality education to students with behavioural needs, SEMH and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).</p><p>The Role:</p><ul><li>Supporting pupils with behavioural challenges and emotional needs</li><li>Working closely with teaching staff to promote engagement and progress</li><li>Providing consistent, calm and empathetic support throughout the school day</li><li>Helping to create a positive and structured learning environment</li></ul><p>Essential Requirements:</p><ul><li>Experience supporting children with behavioural needs</li><li>Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs and/or trauma</li><li>A calm, empathetic approach with strong behaviour management skills</li><li>A reliable, hard-working and committed attitude</li><li>Full-time availability and readiness to start ASAP</li><li>An Enhanced DBS with Children’s Barred List (or willingness to obtain one immediately)</li><li>Willingness to complete Reed’s compliance process promptly (if not already completed)</li></ul><p>Early applications are encouraged due to the urgent start date. xwzovoh </p><p>Please feel free to share this opportunity with anyone who may be interested.</p><p>We can't wait to hear from you!</p>
