Associate Electrical Director (Data Centres) - Client-Side

<p>Job Title: Associate Director (Electrical)</p><p>Department: Design</p><p>Position Type: Full-time</p><p>Location: London (Hybrid)</p><p><br><br>Making sure you fit the guidelines as an applicant for this role is essential, please read the below carefully.<br></p><p>ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p><p>Core Functions</p><p>• Work within a multidisciplinary MEP design team providing technical leadership on mission critical infrastructure projects</p><p>• Lead detailed electrical design activities and supervise the work of junior engineers</p><p>• Contribute to project feasibility studies and technical due diligence activities</p><p>• Produce detailed design specifications, equipment schedules and technical documentation</p><p>• Support the delivery of resilient electrical infrastructure solutions for critical environments</p><p>• Carry out condition surveys, site inspections and technical reporting activities</p><p>• Coordinate with internal and external design teams throughout project delivery</p><p>• Ensure compliance with relevant QA, BIM and CDM processes</p><p>• Review designs for technical compliance, buildability and project risk</p><p>• Support sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives within project designs</p><p>• Attend client, contractor and design coordination meetings as required</p><p><br></p><p>Staff & Team Management</p><p>• Mentor and develop junior engineering staff</p><p>• Lead across multiple concurrent projects</p><p>• Support performance development and technical progression within the team</p><p><br></p><p>Project Delivery</p><p>• Support technical delivery from concept through to commissioning stages</p><p>• Prepare and review technical calculations and engineering studies</p><p>• Support fee proposals, technical bids and project planning activities</p><p>• Attend site inspections, factory acceptance testing and integrated systems testing</p><p>• Liaise with contractors, consultants and stakeholders to ensure design intent is maintained throughout delivery</p><p><br></p><p>Technical Knowledge</p><p>• Critical power and resilient electrical infrastructure design</p><p>• HV / MV and LV distribution systems</p><p>• UPS systems and standby generation</p><p>• xwzovoh Single point of failure analysis</p><p>• System modelling and electrical studies</p><p>• Integrated systems testing and commissioning</p><p>• Cable calculations using Amtech</p><p>• Fire alarm, security and access control systems</p><p>• Data cabling and associated infrastructure systems</p><p><br></p><p>Qualifications & Experience</p><p>• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline</p><p>• Chartered Engineer status preferred</p><p>• Demonstrable experience delivering data centre / mission critical projects</p><p>• Strong background within critical infrastructure electrical design environments</p><p>• Previous leadership or team management experience preferred</p>
