Assistant Project Manager (Construction)

<p>Job Description</p><br>Hit Apply below to send your application for consideration Ensure that your CV is up to date, and that you have read the job specs first.<br><p>We are supporting an established National Main Contractor with more than £800M of New Build under construction across London and a growing pipeline of a similar value.They have a need for an Assistant Project Manager to join them on an Iconic new Central London £200M cut & carve Hotel Development at PCSA stage. You will join the team in a key support role, engaging with the PCSA process and grow with the project and business.</p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><p>* Support the Project Manager by acting as a coordination link between the Design Department, Commercial Team, and Site Teams.</p><p>* Assist in producing accurate, consistent, and professional project records, reports, and general project documentation.</p><p>* Support the Project Manager in liaising with the client, government officials, consultants, and other third parties throughout the project lifecycle.</p><p>* Assist with pre construction activities, including preparation of Construction Management Plans and supporting the process of obtaining pre commencement permits and agreements.</p><p>* Assist with site surveys and reviews to identify potential risks, constraints, or design issues and feedback findings to the project team.</p><p>* Assist in coordinating subcontractors and direct labour, supporting site management teams with day to day requirements.</p><p>* Prepare and issue progress reports for internal management and client review.</p><p>* Work closely with the Planning Manager to assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring project programmes.</p><p>* Support risk management activities, including maintaining and updating the Project Risk Register.</p><p>* Assist with ensuring projects are delivered in line with the company's Health & Safety Management System, escalating non conformances.</p><p>* Support design management activities.</p><p>* Work closely with the Commercial Team to support procurement activities etc.</p><p>You will have:</p><p>* Degree ideally Civ Eng/Construction Management or equivalent.</p><p>* Experience working within a main contractor environment, supporting project delivery.</p><p>* Developing knowledge of construction disciplines including design coordination, procurement, programme management, and Health & Safety.</p><p>* Confident written and verbal communication skills.</p><p>* IT literate with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career. xwzovoh </p><p>Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
