<p><strong><u>Assistant Commercial Manager - £40,000 - £50,000 - Bristol </u></strong></p><p><br><br>Want to make an application Make sure your CV is up to date, then read the following job specs carefully before applying.<br></p><p><u>Purpose of the Role</u></p><p><br></p><p>As an Assistant Commercial Manager, you will support the successful commercial delivery of mechanical and engineering projects.</p><p><br></p><p>You'll be ensuring effective cost control, contract compliance, and commercial performance across multiple projects, while contributing to a collaborative and commercially aware project environment.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a hands-on role that combines both site-based and office-based responsibilities, making it ideal for individuals looking to develop their career within a dynamic and growing engineering business.</p><p><br></p><p><u>Key Responsibilities</u></p><p><br></p><p>• Serve as a key point of support for all commercial and contractual matters across assigned projects.</p><p>• Assist with cost tracking, budget management, and financial reporting to ensure projects remain commercially on track.</p><p>• Support the preparation and management of subcontractor packages, including valuations, payments, and variation accounts.</p><p>• Contribute to the preparation of interim applications, final accounts, and commercial documentation.</p><p>• Provide on-site commercial support, working closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams.</p><p>• Assist in the preparation of forecasts, cost reports, and cash flow projections.</p><p>• Support contract administration activities, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.</p><p>• Work collaboratively with the wider commercial and project teams to drive efficiency and improve commercial performance.</p><p>• Identify and highlight commercial risks and opportunities across projects.</p><p>• Contribute to continuous improvement of commercial processes and procedures.</p><p><br></p><p><u>Specific Qualifications / Experience Required</u></p><p><br></p><p>• Experience in a commercial, quantity surveying, or assistant commercial role within construction, M&E, or building services.</p><p>• Understanding of standard forms of contract (e.g. JCT/NEC) and commercial practices.</p><p>• Strong numerical, analytical, and Excel skills.</p><p>• Comfortable working both in an office environment and on live project sites.</p><p>• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. xwzovoh </p><p>• Degree or working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field (desirable).</p>
