<p>Job Description</p><br>For a complete understanding of this opportunity, and what will be required to be a successful applicant, read on.<br><p>My client, a leading manufacturing company based in Basingstoke is looking to recruit an Assembly technician on a full time, temp-perm basis (over a 12 week period). After the 12 weeks, the role will become permanent.</p><p>Candidates must have a background within Assembly (Mechanical or Electrical) and be used to working with small scale components.</p><p>The role involves assembly, service and repair of electrical/mechanical components and sub-assemblies on a small scale.</p><p>Main duties:</p><ul><li>Assembly electrical/mechanical components including pneumatics and hydraulics using drawings and work instructions.</li><li>Self-inspection and testing.</li><li>Final inspection of finished goods with a strong commitment to quality.</li><li>Pick parts and kits required to carry out tasks.</li><li>Determination of service level required and to undertake service as per agreed schedule(s).</li><li>Determination of repairs required and to undertake as per the return request.</li><li>Acquisition of spare parts as required for repair technicians.</li><li>Creation of requests to return product to customer, stock, service stock or for scrap.</li><li>Liaise with NPD in the development of new products for Assembly, Service and Repairs requirements.</li></ul><p>Experience:</p><ul><li>Have assembly experience (ideally mechanical).</li><li>Have good attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret work instructions / drawings.</li><li>Able to use manual hand tools.</li><li>Ability to prioritize and manage own workflow.</li></ul><p>Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 07.30 – 16.30 and 07.30 – 12.30 on Fridays covering a total of 39 hours per week.</p><p>Hourly rate of £13.93 per hour is on offer for the right candidate after a successful interview.</p><p>Please submit your CV today for immediate consideration and interview.</p><p>GDPR:</p><p>In line with the GDPR legislations by applying to this vacancy you are agreeing that Fortis Recruitment Solutions can hold/store your data and contact you in regards to this vacancy, or any other suitable vacancies that arise.
