<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><p>TeamJobs is recruiting an experienced <strong>Advanced Electrical Engineer (Electronics)</strong> to support the design and development of advanced electronic controllers used within <strong>Environmental Control Systems and Life Support Systems</strong> for aerospace applications.</p><p><br><br>Apply promptly! A high volume of applicants is expected for the role as detailed below, do not wait to send your CV.<br></p><p>You will join a multidisciplinary <strong>Electronic Controllers team</strong>, responsible for delivering high-integrity hardware integrated with specialised software to meet stringent aerospace and safety requirements.</p><p><br></p><p>The successful candidate will have strong analogue and digital circuit design experience, ideally gained within aerospace or another highly regulated industry.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Yeovil, Somerset</p><p><strong>Candidates looking to relocate are considered</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Contract (with potential for extension)</p><p><strong>Work Model:</strong> Hybrid – typically 3 days on-site and 2 days remote, with periods of increased on-site presence depending on project phase.</p><p><strong>37hours per week, Monday -Thursday 9am-4pm and finish at 12pm on Friday. </strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Pay rate: around £72 per hour.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Support the full end-to-end electronics design lifecycle, from concept through production and in-service support</li><li>Define and document electronics requirements, design plans, and technical specifications</li><li>Design analogue and digital circuits, progressing concepts through to PCB layouts and full manufacturing drawing packs</li><li>Produce all required design, verification, and test documentation to support certification and manufacture</li><li>Participate in design reviews, clearly presenting technical content to both technical and non-technical stakeholders</li><li>Ensure compliance with relevant quality processes, standards, and regulatory requirements</li><li>Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams and external suppliers to support new product introduction, including PCB build, assembly, testing, and system integration</li><li>Provide expert technical support for manufacturing issues and in-service investigations across the product range</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Qualifications & Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline</li><li>Minimum 5 years’ electronics design experience within aerospace or another highly regulated industry (e.g. nuclear, rail)</li><li>Strong understanding of electronics design principles and industry best practices</li><li>Proficiency in low-power digital circuit design</li><li>Solid understanding of low-frequency analogue interface design</li><li>Experience using industry-standard ECAD tools (Mentor Graphics preferred)</li><li>Knowledge of Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) methodologies</li><li>Familiarity with EMC design and qualification requirements</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Due to security requirements on this site all worker's nationality needs to be UK, EU or NATO. xwzovoh </strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Full BPSS* Screening (*Baseline Personnel Security Standard), including proof of Legal Right to Work, Criminal Records Check, i.e. UK DBS and Drugs Screening.</strong></p>
