Accountant (2-Year Fixed Term Contract) Derrylin Up to £55k + Excellent Benefits Our client, a well-established and growing organisation within the manufacturing sector, is seeking a qualified Accountant to join their finance team on a 2-year fixed-term contract.<br><br>In order to make an application, simply read through the following job description and make sure to attach relevant documents.<br><br>Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making and driving financial performance.<br><br>Duties: <br>*Preparation, review and presentation of monthly divisional management accounts within strict reporting deadlines <br>*Reconciliation and review of balance sheet control accounts <br>*Conducting variance and trend analysis to identify risks and opportunities <br>*Reviewing and preparing statutory returns including VAT, Intrastat and VIES, ensuring compliance with Irish Revenue and HMRC requirements <br>*Supporting the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and assisting with statutory financial statements <br>*Assisting with annual budgets and rolling forecasts <br>*Partnering with operational teams and wider business functions to provide financial insight and support strategic projects <br>*Providing ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required <br>*Identifying and supporting process improvements and strengthening financial controls <br>*Supporting internal audit activity, systems development and user testing programmes Criteria: <br>*Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) <br>*Previous experience in a similar accounting or finance role, ideally within a fast-paced environment <br>*Manufacturing sector experience is highly desirable <br>*Strong knowledge of accounting standards and principles (GAAP/IFRS) <br>*Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be advantageous <br>*Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills <br>*High level of accuracy and attention to detail <br>*Strong communication and stakeholder management skills <br>*Ability to work independently and collaboratively while meeting deadlines Package & Benefits <br>*Competitive salary of £45,000<br>- £55,000 <br>*Bonus scheme <br>*Excellent benefits package <br>*Standard working hours: oMonday Thursday: 8:00am 5:00pm oFriday: 8:00am 3:30pm o39.5 hours per week Full-time office-based initially, with potential flexibility following probation.<br><br>This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful business in a commercially focused finance role where you can make a real impact. xwzovoh <br><br>For a confidential discussion, contact Sophie at Cpl NI or apply here.<br><br>Skills: Accounting systems Budgeting Financial analysis<br>TPBN1_NI
