<p>Job Description</p><br>Any additional information you require for this job can be found in the below text Make sure to read thoroughly, then apply.<br><p>Job Description:</p><p>Academy Inclusion Support Assistant - Primary & Secondary Academy (Barnet)</p><p>A well-established Academy in Barnet (Edgware area) is seeking dedicated and compassionate support staff to work across its Primary and Sixth Form settings, with a strong focus on Special Educational Needs (SEN) support.</p><p>We are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference to young people's lives and who have experience supporting children and young people with additional needs.</p><p>Who We're Looking For</p><p>We welcome applications from:</p><ul><li>Youth Workers</li><li>Counsellors and Mentors</li><li>Community Support Workers</li><li>Carers and Care Workers</li><li>Former Teaching Assistants / Learning Support Assistants (LSAs)</li><li>SEN Support Staff with school-based experience</li><li>Psychology or Social Work graduates with SEN experience</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>Minimum 6 months' experience working with children or young people</li><li>Experience or interest in supporting SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, sensory needs, etc.)</li><li>Strong communication skills, patience, and emotional awareness</li><li>Must hold a DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)</li><li>Based in Barnet or willing to travel to the area</li><li>Available at least 3 days per week (5 days preferred) during school hours</li></ul><p>Role Overview</p><ul><li>Full-time, long-term positions available</li><li>Working hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm</li><li>Based across Primary and Secondary sites within the Academy</li><li>Immediate starts and September placements available</li></ul><p>Your Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Providing 1:1 and small group SEN support</li><li>Supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, sensory and emotional regulation needs</li><li>Helping pupils engage positively in learning and school life</li><li>Using strategies to manage behaviour, build confidence, xwzovoh and encourage independence</li><li>Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams</li><li>Supporting learning both inside and outside the classroom (including calm/sensory spaces and outdoor learning)</li><li>Creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for pupils</li></ul><p>What We Offer</p><ul><li>Competitive daily rates</li><li>Long-term, stable SEN-focused roles</li><li>Opportunities across both Primary and Secondary phases</li><li>Supportive school environment within a forward-thinking Academy</li><li>Fast and efficient registration process</li><li>Ongoing guidance and support from your consultant</li></ul>
