<strong>World Class Defence Organisation is currently looking to recruit a Verification and Validation Systems Engineering Specialist subcontractor on an initial 12 month contract. </strong><strong>Rate: </strong>£85.00 per hour<strong>Overtime Rate: </strong>Hours worked over 37 hours per week will be calculated at 'time and a quarter'<strong>Location: </strong>Stevenage or Bristol (depending on your preference)<strong>Hybrid / Remote working: </strong>The role will be a hybrid role of on average 2 days per week onsite<strong>Contract: </strong>37 Hours per week<strong>Duration: </strong>12 Months (initially and then ongoing and long-term thereafter)<strong>IR35 status: </strong>Inside IR35 (Umbrella)<strong>V&V Systems Engineering Specialist Job Description:</strong>The Test & Evaluation team are looking for a V&V Systems Engineering Specialist to operate with a high-level of technical responsibility for the entire lifecycle of our product, ranging from design and development to qualification and deployment. A specialist will bridge the gap between design and production, ensuring that complex, high-reliability systems meet our requirements.<strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Test Strategy & Development: Defining test requirements, creating test plans, scoping front end activities with the customer ensuring that requirements are met and understood with the best efficiency maintained for deliveries.</li><li>System Validation: Overseeing or supporting the qualification and acceptance of test equipment, ensuring it is robust, compliant, and accurate.</li><li>Analysis & Troubleshooting: Analysing test data, identifying performance bottlenecks, and troubleshooting validation issues.</li><li>Documentation & Governance: Producing technical documentation (test procedures, reports) and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.</li><li>Support departmental strategy and support the department head with recruitment of the right people into the team.</li><li>Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders within the business relating to technical direction</li><li>Provide technical leadership to all Test related issues across design projects with proven experience in Test Equipment requirements capture and specification.</li><li>Supporting new product bid activities.</li><li>Identify, document and deploy best practice across the department and within projects.</li></ul><strong>Essential Skills & Qualifications</strong><ul><li>Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electronics or mechanical systems, a degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline.</li><li>Hands-on Experience: Expertise in operating general-purpose test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators).</li><li>Industry Standards: Knowledge of safety-critical standards, particularly within aerospace, defence (e.g., MOD), or rail sectors.</li><li>Communication: Ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams and liaise with customers for system acceptance.</li><li>Hands-on experience of DOORS & DOORS NG, SysML & Rhapsody would be desirable, but training will be provided where needed.</li><li>Experience in DfT and testability.</li><li>RF / Microwave systems knowledge would be desirable.</li></ul><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?G5Q9wNewzuMGn1PcqIknR%2byYn3my%2fkWUm" width="0" height="0" />
