Trainee Maintenance Engineer

<p>A great opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join their high-performing manufacturing site.</p><p>This is a genuine development role, designed for someone early in their engineering career who wants hands-on experience, structured training and a clear pathway to becoming a fully competent multi-skilled maintenance engineer.</p><p>You'll be working alongside experienced engineers on a fast-paced production environment, learning how to fault-find, maintain and improve automated machinery while building long-term career security in a stable manufacturing business.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Support planned and reactive maintenance activities across production machinery</li><li>Assist with fault finding on electrical systems, including control panels, sensors, motors and drives, boilers etc</li><li>Carry out basic electrical repairs under supervision</li><li>Learn to read and interpret electrical schematics and manuals</li><li>Support breakdown response to minimise downtime</li><li>Assist with continuous improvement and reliability projects</li><li>Maintain accurate maintenance records and adhere to health & safety standards at all times</li></ul><p><strong>Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 2/3, BTEC, City & Guilds, apprenticeship or similar)</li><li>Strong interest in electrical engineering within a manufacturing environment</li><li>Willingness to learn, take feedback and develop technical ability</li><li>Reliable, safety-focused and comfortable working shifts </li><li>Any exposure to maintenance or manufacturing environments</li><li>Basic understanding of PLCs or automated equipment</li><li>Mechanical awareness or interest in becoming multi-skilled</li><li>Attitude and commitment are more important than experience.</li><li>Full training will be provided</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Information:</strong></p><ul><li>Structured training plan with experienced engineers</li><li>Clear progression to Maintenance Engineer level</li><li>Competitive pay with shift allowance</li><li>Secure, long-term employment with a growing manufacturer</li><li>Exposure to modern automated production equipment</li><li>Supportive engineering team and strong safety culture</li></ul><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?p4QwZ6nBSKlwF%2bmCp8U%2bWr7AD4Z%2b45tAe" width="0" height="0" />
