They design, install, commission and maintain fire alarm, life safety and security systems for multi-site commercial customers - with particular strength in large residential blocks and student accommodation.</p><p>Built organically since the mid-2000s, this is a business with real roots, a loyal customer base, and a team that takes pride in what they do. And because it's employee-owned, when the business does well - everyone does.</p><p><strong>The role</strong></p><p>They're now looking for a Trainee Engineer to join their Fire & Security team in the London region - a hands-on, field-based role with a structured training programme, regular pay progression, and a clear path into a senior engineering career.</p><p>You'll work alongside experienced engineers from day one, learning on the job while completing a comprehensive modular training programme with classroom-based elements covering a range of fire safety systems and industry standards.</p><p><strong>You will:</strong></p><ul><li>Assist with servicing and maintenance of fire alarm and fire safety systems</li><li>Support engineers with testing, fault-finding, and system handovers</li><li>Learn relevant industry standards and procedures</li><li>Work across commercial sites throughout the London region</li></ul><p><strong>Who we're looking for</strong></p><p>You don't need to be fully qualified - but you do need to be someone who shows up, takes pride in their work, and is genuinely eager to build a long-term career in the industry.</p><p><strong>You will bring:</strong></p><ul><li>Some experience or training in fire, security, electrical, or general engineering work is preferred</li><li>Enthusiasm to learn and develop within the fire and security industry</li><li>A professional, reliable, and proactive approach</li><li>A full clean UK driving licence</li><li>Good communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team</li></ul><p><strong>What's on offer</strong></p><ul><li>£25,500 - £28,000 depending on experience</li><li>Quarterly pay increases as training modules are completed - engineers in the company are on £40,000 within 5 years.</li><li>Company-wide bonus - because as an employee-owned business, the success is shared</li><li>A structured training and mentoring programme from day one</li><li>Vehicle, uniform, tools, and equipment provided</li><li>Clear progression into senior engineering roles</li><li>A supportive team and management structure where people genuinely invest in your development</li></ul><p></p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?kvKO%2fmG%2frVoZ0b2i5oxPR5PVxutNeOlBg" width="0" height="0" />
