We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Tractor Driver / Stockperson to play a key role in a modern, progressive farming operation where animal welfare, safety and efficiency are at the heart of everything we do. </p> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>You will be responsible for operating modern farm machinery, supporting daily livestock care, and helping maintain high standards across the farm. This is a varied, hands on role with the chance to develop your skills using the latest equipment and technology.</p> <p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong></p> <p><strong>Tractor & Machinery Operation</strong></p> <ul> <li>Carry out field operations including cultivating, muck and slurry applications, and forage related work.</li> <li>Handle materials such as feed, slurry, bedding and muck.</li> <li>Operate GPS guided machinery to support precision farming and environmental efficiency.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Livestock & Husbandry</strong></p> <ul> <li>Daily livestock care including feeding, bedding and monitoring animal health.</li> <li>Assist with calving, vaccinating, tagging and moving stock.</li> <li>Maintain accurate livestock and feeding records, ensuring feed stocks are monitored and replenished.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Health, Safety & Compliance</strong></p> <ul> <li>Follow all Crown Estate health and safety procedures, including risk assessments and safe working practices.</li> <li>Carry out daily machinery checks, routine maintenance and minor repairs (supported by a fully equipped workshop).</li> <li>Support audits, inspections and compliance activities.</li> </ul> <p><strong>General Farm Duties</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain high standards of cleanliness across sheds, barns, yards and feed areas.</li> </ul> <p>Values & Behaviours You will role model The Crown Estate values: working collaboratively, communicating openly, acting resourcefully and taking accountability for high quality work.</p> <p><strong><u>About You</u></strong></p> <p><strong>Essential</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum 3 years' experience operating modern farm machinery.</li> <li>Proven livestock handling experience.</li> <li>Full UK driving licence (Category F/tractor).</li> <li>Strong mechanical understanding and ability to carry out basic maintenance.</li> <li>Confident using digital tools (PCs, smartphones).</li> <li>Good understanding of health & safety and sustainability in a land based environment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desirable</strong></p> <ul> <li>City & Guilds Level 2/3 in Tractor Driving/Agriculture.</li> <li>Telehandler or skid steer certificates.</li> <li>PA6 spraying certificate.</li> <li>Experience using a feeder wagon and mixing TMR rations.</li> <li>Basic first aid knowledge.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Personal Attributes</strong></p> <ul> <li>Safety focused with strong attention to detail.</li> <li>Reliable, self motivated and a strong team player.</li> <li>Flexible and willing to support across the farm, especially during busy seasons.</li> <li>Takes pride in maintaining high standards of work.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Working Pattern</strong></p> <ul> <li>Full time, permanent role.</li> <li>Includes working every other weekend and additional hours during peak seasons.</li> <li>On site housing is provided and required for the effective performance of duties.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary + discretionary bonus scheme.</li> <li>28 days holiday plus bank holidays.</li> <li>Private medical scheme.</li> <li>Choice of two pension schemes.</li> <li>Excellent benefits including West End shopping discounts.</li> <li>A supportive team environment with opportunities to develop your skills.</li> </ul> <p><b>You can also apply for this role by clicking the Apply Button.</b></p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?Lvxcf8sYvdqh4nI02rdzszZMNnnKCOnmn" width="0" height="0" />
