Job description
Overview <br />We are recruiting for a Tester within our Energi Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing, inspecting, and carrying out quality checks on MV and LV switchgear. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking company with state-of-the-art facilities and ambitious plans for the future.<br /><br /> Responsibilities <br /><br /> Performing routine and final testing on low and medium voltage switchgear assemblies.<br /> Interpreting electrical schematics, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues and working with Engineering team to resolve design or manufacture issues.<br /> Preparing accurate test reports and maintaining proper documentation.<br /> Performing quality inspections at different production stages, and report on findings.<br /> Supporting Factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) with clients.<br /> Ensuring adherence to quality standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.<br /> Assisting in the commissioning of switchgear (on site) so occasional travel required.<br /><br /> Skills and Qualifications <br /><br /> A degree or HND / HNC in Electrical Engineering or related field, or proven experience in an electrical switchgear testing similar role.<br /> Experience with testing equipment, and knowledge of switchgear operation and protection systems.<br /> Good trouble shooting and problem-solving skills, and ability to interpret electrical wiring schematics.<br /> Ability to work within tight deadlines.<br /> Excellent IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Office packages, and strong documentation, reporting and analytical skills.<br /> Strong attention to detail, and ability to work to exceptionally high standards.<br /> Working as part of a team.<br /><br />Job Types: Full-time, Permanent<br /><br />Work Location: In person<img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?1cWG9WvfIspdOhjvT7Y3y7kfcqAF65Eoo" width="0" height="0" />
