Test Equipment Obsolescence Manager

<strong>World Class Defence Organisation based in Bolton is currently looking to recruit a Test Equipment Obsolescence Manager subcontractor on an initial 6 month contract. The role will be a hybrid position of 2 days in office, rest of the week remote.</strong><strong>Rate: </strong>£60 per hour<strong>Overtime Rate: </strong>Hours worked over the standard 37 hours per week, will be paid at 'time and a quarter'<strong>Location: </strong>Bolton <strong>Hybrid / Remote working: </strong>Hybrid, 2 days per week onsite and the rest remote from home. <strong>Duration: </strong>6 Months with very likely extension. Contracts are often ongoing and long-term thereafter. <strong>IR35 status: </strong>Inside IR35 (Umbrella)<strong>Test Equipment Obsolescence Manager Job Description:</strong>We have a phenomenal opportunity for experienced Engineers to play a leading role in the support of production activities at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. Working within Production Design Support (PDS) is a highly rewarding role working close to the manufacturing environment helping to shape the design of the products and test equipment, delivering support to our customers.<strong>Responsibilities:</strong>Role includes the following responsibilities:<ul><li>Managing Proactive and Reporting Services</li><li>Implementing Strategy for Obsolescence Management</li><li>Technical Assessment working with Engineering teams to manage changes</li><li>Managing Resources and Work load Planning</li></ul><strong>Skillset/experience required:</strong><ul><li>Engineering Degree or relevant experience</li><li>Knowledge and experience of managing Obsolescence</li><li>Knowledge and experience of Electronic Equipment</li><li>You'll be prepared to work autonomously if needed, lead the delivery of your work assignments, and actively engage with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of your outputs.</li><li>Manage discreet work packages preparing bids, controlling costs and delivering solutions.</li><li>Excellent verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the capability to write clear and concise engineering documentation.</li><li>Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team, with an awareness of the challenges and opportunities that this may bring and a passion for innovation and collaboration.</li></ul><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?Y%2fr8BHIvVXuB3jwlXRFfUV%2fFeCl2Hs2hc" width="0" height="0" />
