Test Engineer (Systems & Electronic)

<p><strong>MCS Group is recruiting for a hands-on System Test Engineer (Electronics) to join an innovative engineering team developing advanced technology for the utilities sector. This role will be based in Lisburn and offered on a temporary contract.</strong></p><p>This role sits within a multidisciplinary R&D environment, testing complex embedded hardware and software systems developed in-house.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>System and embedded software testing</li><li>Test plan and test case creation</li><li>Hardware and firmware configuration</li><li>Lab setup, calibration, and troubleshooting</li><li>Working closely with software and electronics teams</li><li>Supporting automation and rapid release testing</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Strong electronics and laboratory testing background</li><li>Experience using oscilloscopes, signal generators, and multi-meters</li><li>Hands-on work with PCB boards, wiring, DIN rails, and electronic assemblies</li><li>Experience using Command Line/SSH for troubleshooting</li><li>Ability to read wiring diagrams and BOMs</li><li>Strong test planning and reporting skills</li></ul><p>This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge embedded technology within a highly technical R&D team.</p><p><strong>To speak in absolute confidence about this opportunity please send an up to date CV via the link provided or contact Kirsty Dillon Specialist Consultant at MCS Group </strong></p><p>Even if this position is not right for you, we may have others that are.
