<p><strong>Planning Enforcement Team Leader</strong></p><p><strong>Pay Rate:</strong> £45-£50 per hour</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Service Area: Planning / Development Management</p><p><strong>Job Type:</strong> Full-time</p><p>We are seeking a highly experienced and professional Planning Enforcement Team Leader to manage and lead our Planning Enforcement team. This role is crucial for delivering high-quality, performance-focused services within our Planning Service.</p><p>Day-to-day of the role:</p><p>Leadership and Service Management</p><ul><li>Lead and motivate the Planning Enforcement team to meet service targets and performance standards.</li><li>Develop and implement the Enforcement Plan and performance management systems.</li><li>Support staff development and manage service improvements.</li></ul><p>Enforcement and Case Management</p><ul><li>Manage major, complex enforcement cases, including unauthorised developments.</li><li>Lead investigations, manage evidence, and prepare legal documentation.</li><li>Represent the authority in legal proceedings and public inquiries.</li></ul><p>Legal, Governance, and Compliance</p><ul><li>Ensure compliance with planning legislation and internal policies.</li><li>Manage external consultants and advisors for enforcement cases.</li><li>Maintain high standards of governance and compliance.</li></ul><p>Advice, Reporting, and Representation</p><ul><li>Prepare and present reports on planning and enforcement matters.</li><li>Provide expert advice at committee meetings and to various stakeholders.</li><li>Represent the authority in external forums and legal settings.</li></ul><p>Required Skills & Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Significant experience in planning enforcement within a public sector or regulatory environment.</li><li>Proven leadership skills with experience in team management and performance enhancement.</li><li>Strong knowledge of planning legislation and enforcement processes.</li><li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Proficiency in ICT and case management systems.</li></ul><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>Competitive hourly rate of £45-£50.</li><li>Opportunity to lead and shape a key team within the Planning Service.</li><li>Engage in high-profile cases and make significant impacts on community planning.</li></ul><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?8BtgX7rrSYGX0mwZ9Es32lwG9woguHAky" width="0" height="0" />
