<strong>Support Worker - Learning Disabilities (Temporary)</strong> <strong>Location:</strong> South West <strong>Pay:</strong> £15.34 per hour <strong>Contract:</strong> 1 month (with potential to extend) <strong>Hours:</strong> 37 per week, Monday-Saturday (8:00am-6:00pm, flexible shifts)<strong>About the Role</strong> We're recruiting for a compassionate and adaptable <strong>Support Worker - Learning Disabilities</strong> to join a busy service supporting individuals across the South West. This is a rewarding, hands-on role where you'll support people with learning disabilities and complex needs to live independently, safely and confidently within their communities. No two days are the same-you'll be working closely with individuals to build their confidence, develop life skills and achieve personal goals.<strong>What You'll Be Doing</strong><ul><li>Deliver high-quality, person-centred support tailored to individual needs</li><li>Build strong, trusting relationships with customers and partner agencies</li><li>Support individuals to develop independence and engage in their communities</li><li>Create and review support plans with clear, achievable goals</li><li>Complete risk assessments and ensure safe working practices</li><li>Maintain accurate records and contribute to service outcomes</li><li>Work both independently (including lone working) and as part of a team</li><li>Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality and professional standards at all times</li></ul><strong>What We're Looking For</strong><ul><li>Experience supporting individuals with a range of needs, ideally in a care or support setting</li><li>Ability to assess risk and make sound decisions in varied situations</li><li>Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships</li><li>Good literacy and numeracy skills</li><li>Confident working both independently and as part of a team</li><li>Flexible approach to working hours to meet service needs</li><li>Understanding of safeguarding, equality and diversity</li><li>A positive, proactive approach with the ability to adapt to change</li></ul><strong>Desirable:</strong><ul><li>NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant field</li><li>Knowledge of housing-related support or community services</li><li>Experience working with vulnerable individuals in group or one-to-one settings</li></ul><ul><li> British Sign Language (BSL) knowledge</li></ul><ul><li>Enhanced DBS check required</li><li>Applicants must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)</li></ul><strong>For more information call Carol on or Send CV directly to </strong><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?SWtLklruwzI%2fLn0jroTciENQYDqRE8aLw" width="0" height="0" />
