<p><strong>Solar PV Electrician - Installation, Commissioning & Maintenance</strong></p><p><strong>Location: </strong>Bridgend, South Wales</p><p><strong>Salary: </strong>Up to £42,000 per annum</p><p><strong>Full-time Permanent</strong></p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>We are looking for a skilled and motivated Solar PV Electrician to join our growing team. The role involves working across a range of residential and commercial projects, installing and commissioning solar PV systems, battery storage, and associated electrical infrastructure.</p><p>This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and wants to be part of a forward-thinking renewable energy company. Occasional working away for short periods may be required, depending on project location.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Installation and commissioning of solar PV inverters and battery storage systems</li><li>Carrying out service, maintenance, and inspection works on existing systems</li><li>Installation of AC supplies, containment, and cable runs</li><li>Fault finding, testing, and troubleshooting of PV and battery systems</li><li>Completing commissioning documentation and handover packs</li><li>Ensuring all work complies with BS 7671, MCS standards, and health & safety requirements</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)</li><li>18th Edition (BS 7671)</li><li>Valid CSCS or ECS card (required)</li><li>Experience in solar PV and/or battery storage systems (preferred)</li><li>Strong understanding of electrical installations and testing procedures</li><li>Full UK driving licence</li></ul><p><strong>Desirable (but not essential):</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with SolarEdge systems</li><li>Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent)</li><li>Previous experience in commercial PV installations</li></ul><p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p><ul><li>Company van & fuel card</li><li>Weekly pay</li><li>Overtime opportunities</li><li>Performance-related bonuses</li><li>Clear opportunities for career progression within the company</li><li>Ongoing training and development in renewable technologies</li><li>Opportunity to grow within a fast-expanding solar company</li></ul><p><strong>Why Join Us?</strong></p><p>You'll be joining a dynamic and ambitious team delivering high-quality renewable energy solutions across the UK.
