<p><strong>AR810 - Solar Engineer</strong><strong>Location:</strong> Trowbridge <strong>Salary:</strong> £34,000 - £39,000 + Bonus<strong>Overview:</strong>First Military Recruitment are currently supporting our client in the search for a Solar Engineer. The purpose of this role is to maintain Solar plants in an optimum operating condition.Our client is keen to offer opportunities to Ex-Military personnel, but all applications will be considered.<strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Adhere to all HSE procedures at all times and play an active role in risk assessment.</li><li>Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical components, inverters (i.e., thermal analysis, performance analysis), modules (i.e., thermal analysis, integrity checks), CCTV/Security Systems, Monitoring systems, Structures (i.e., bolt tightening, corrosion checks).</li><li>Provide comprehensive reports in line with company standards, in a prompt and diligent manner; these business-critical reports can be prepared remotely, not necessarily at site or in the office.</li><li>Provide electrical maintenance services for portfolio of solar farms in a specified region. This will require regular travel to sites in your allocated region.</li><li>On occasions you will be expected to travel to different regions to provide extra support if required.</li><li>Assist with the compilation of insurance and warranty claims.</li><li>Take full ownership of assigned sites.</li><li>Manage relationships local subcontractors.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills and Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>A recognised electrical qualification such as City and Guilds th Edition), would be an advantage.</li><li>Any Inverters maintenance course would be an advantage.</li><li>Testing and inspection certification 2391 an advantage.</li><li>Electrically trained; BS7671 and Level 3 Electrical NVQ or equivalent (e.g., apprenticeship completed, IET etc)</li><li>Able to safely pass LV1 assessment.</li><li>Previous experience working as Electricians Mate.</li><li>Industrial PV installation maintenance experience.</li><li>Inverter maintenance experience.</li><li>High Voltage (HV) Switching experience.</li><li>Knowledge of network infrastructure (e.g., LAN, routers, switches).</li><li>Clean, full Driving Licence.</li><li>Working at heights is an advantage.</li><li>Be comfortable working in a team.</li><li>Good time-management and punctuality.</li><li>Able to work under pressure.</li><li>Able to prioritise workload effectively.</li><li>Able to work remotely without close supervision.</li><li>HSE awareness.</li><li>Being pro-active, able to work autonomously and use initiative.</li><li>Problem solving attitude.</li><li>Naturally inquisitive with strong technical understanding.</li><li>A 'can-do' attitude and willingness to be adaptable.</li><li>Passionate about renewables (highly desirable).</li><li>Motivated and willing to receive training and development.</li><li>Be comfortable in an out-door work environment.</li></ul><p><strong>Location:</strong> Trowbridge<strong>Salary:</strong> £34,000 - £39,000 + Bonus</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?NNcQ65VzYn23%2be%2bp%2f%2bJaK%2feAtOD0zOtSz" width="0" height="0" />
