Social Worker Safeguarding - Daily

<p></p><p></p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>Peterborough Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Family Safeguarding Team. This is a long-term safeguarding role working with children and families where there are ongoing concerns related to risk and protection.You will manage a caseload aligned with statutory safeguarding responsibilities and contribute to achieving positive outcomes for children through effective assessment and intervention.</p><p><strong>Working Pattern:</strong> Hybrid - minimum of 2 days per week in the office, subject to business needs. The role requires the ability to visit and work directly with children and families across Peterborough, including for urgent matters.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Manage a caseload within a long-term safeguarding team</li><li>Work on cases under Section 17 (Child in Need) and Section 47 (Child Protection)</li><li>Manage cases involved in Public Law Outline (PLO) and Care Proceedings through to final hearing</li><li>Complete high-quality assessments and deliver effective interventions to promote children's welfare</li><li>Identify, assess, and respond to risk, ensuring children are protected and supported appropriately</li><li>Work directly with children and families, maintaining a child-focused and strengths-based approach</li></ul><p><strong>Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Experience working within a Family Safeguarding or Long-Term Safeguarding Team</li><li>Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England Registration</li><li>Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team</li><li>Confident in direct work, assessment, and court-related requirements</li></ul><p>If you thrive to make a difference and have 3 years Social worker experience and this is the role for you, then we would love to hear from you.</p><p></p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?mvZ2aGq5iQVVUyI5sEKA5GNYxTEBfeg8f" width="0" height="0" />
