<p><strong>Senior Project Manager</strong></p><p><strong>Inside IR35, £550 P/D</strong></p><p><strong>3-6 months with scope to extend</strong></p><p><strong>2 days on site per week in Telford</strong></p><p><strong>SC eligibility</strong></p><p></p><p><strong>Project Type:</strong></p><p>Legacy Modernisation / Engineering</p><p></p><p><strong>Overview</strong></p><p>The client is carrying out a multi-year technology transformation initiative to modernise customer facing services. The programme aims to prepare services for competitive tender by implementing the latest product versions, modern ALM tooling, and test automation.</p><p>This Senior Project Manager role will join an <strong>in-flight programme</strong>, working closely with stakeholders to deliver a modern, resilient IT estate.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Project Delivery</strong></p><ul><li>Manage the delivery of multiple projects, ensuring alignment with company strategy, commitments, and goals.</li><li>Provide overall direction, coordination, execution, control, and completion of assigned projects.</li><li>Ensure high-quality delivery across all phases of the project lifecycle.</li></ul><p><strong>Schedule & Financial Management</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and maintain project schedules using <strong>MS Project (MSP)</strong>.</li><li>Own and manage the project cost base, forecasts, and variances.</li><li>Present financial updates and explanations at monthly reviews.</li></ul><p><strong>Risk & Change Management</strong></p><ul><li>Identify and manage project and cross-project risks, dependencies, and mitigations.</li><li>Escalate risks where necessary.</li><li>Manage project change through appropriate configuration management.</li><li>Assess impacts of customer- and project-initiated change requests and ensure timely, accurate responses.</li><li>Facilitate technical notes and impact workshops as required.</li></ul><p><strong>Stakeholder & Customer Management</strong></p><ul><li>Act as the single point of contact for the customer.</li><li>Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.</li><li>Ensure regular formal checkpoints and ongoing communication of progress.</li><li>Address ad-hoc queries and identify opportunities to improve client outcomes and generate additional value.</li></ul><p><strong>Resource Management</strong></p><ul><li>Work with resource managers to forecast, secure, and manage project resources.</li><li>Accurately track staffing demand and costs.</li><li>Provide timely performance reviews and ensure HR policies are followed.</li><li>Ensure resources are released appropriately.</li><li>Actively mentor and coach project team members.</li></ul><p><strong>Proposal & Commercial Management</strong></p><ul><li>Demonstrate strong commercial awareness.</li><li>Manage estimating and impact assessments for proposals and change requests.</li><li>Develop clear recommendations and solutions aligned to client value.</li></ul><p><strong>Communication & Governance</strong></p><ul><li>Chair regular project checkpoints and ad-hoc meetings.</li><li>Report progress to line management, clients, stakeholders, and account leadership.</li><li>Provide clear, concise escalations when required.</li></ul><p><strong>Implementation & Close-down</strong></p><ul><li>Manage execution and transition through to Live and Service Introduction.</li><li>Raise RFCs and present at Change Approval Boards.</li><li>Agree acceptance criteria and trial plans with the client.</li><li>Ensure successful project close-down, including post-project reviews and action tracking.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills & Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Excellent team-working, negotiation, and conflict management abilities.</li><li>Experience delivering projects using multiple delivery frameworks.</li><li>Good understanding of end-to-end delivery processes.</li><li>Appreciation of Agile principles.</li><li>Strong focus on delivery quality and assurance.</li></ul><p><strong>Tools:</strong> MS Office, MS Project, UPM</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?SWtLklruwzJqP%2f%2fBn67Mmo2qIPJIxL%2fTw" width="0" height="0" />
