SHEQ & Fleet Compliance Manager <br /><br /> White Logistics & Storage Ltd - Pershore, Worcestershire <br /> Salary: £42,000 - £46,500 (DOE)<br /> Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)<br />Flexibility required for early starts, late finishes and occasional weekends for adhoc site attendance (key holder call-out)<br /><br />We're looking for a hands-on SHEQ & Fleet Compliance Manager to take ownership of safety, compliance and fleet performance across a fast-paced logistics operation.<br /><br />This is a key leadership role combining Transport Manager responsibility with SHEQ governance , offering real influence over standards, systems and day-to-day operational performance.<br /><br /> Role Overview <br /><br />White Logistics & Storage Ltd is seeking an experienced and driven individual to lead Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality and Fleet Compliance across our Worcestershire operations.<br /><br />You will act as the named Transport Manager on the Operator's Licence, ensuring full compliance with statutory undertakings and DVSA requirements, while driving continuous improvement and embedding a proactive safety culture across the business.<br /><br /> Key Responsibilities <br /><br /> SHEQ Management <br /><br /> Develop, implement and maintain SHEQ policies, procedures and systems<br /> Ensure compliance with relevant legislation including HASAWA, RIDDOR, PUWER, LOLER and COSHH<br /> Lead accident, incident and near-miss investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions<br /> Produce and maintain RAMS, SOPs, COSHH assessments and safe systems of work<br /> Drive a positive safety culture through engagement, communication and training<br /> Lead internal and external audits, including FORS accreditation<br /> Monitor and report on SHEQ KPIs, identifying trends and driving improvement<br /><br /> Fleet & Transport Compliance <br /><br /> Act as the named Transport Manager on the Operator's Licence, ensuring full compliance with statutory undertakings<br /> Maintain compliance with Operator Licence obligations and DVSA requirements<br /> Take full responsibility for fleet compliance, maintenance and performance<br /> Monitor OCRS scores, MOT performance and vehicle roadworthiness<br /> Manage PMI schedules, servicing and preventative maintenance programmes<br /> Oversee tachograph and driver compliance<br /> Maintain fleet systems (e.g. TruTac, Microlise) ensuring accuracy and audit readiness<br /> Manage fleet costs including repairs, fuel, tyres and damage<br /> Support and respond to out-of-hours fleet and site related issues/emergencies when required<br /><br /> Operational & Commercial <br /><br /> Lead fleet CAPEX planning, vehicle procurement and lifecycle management<br /> Manage supplier relationships and service contracts<br /> Oversee insurance claims relating to fleet and transport incidents<br /> Support operational teams with loading safety and site risk management<br /> Identify and implement improvements in efficiency, compliance and cost contro l <br /><br /> Systems & Continuous Improvement <br /><br /> Develop structured and scalable compliance systems<br /> Lead audits, gap analysis and continuous improvement initiatives<br /> Implement and manage digital SHEQ and compliance platforms<br /> Apply structured improvement methods such as Root Cause Analysis and Lean principles<br /><br /> Candidate Requirements <br /><br /> Essential <br /><br /> Proven experience in a senior SHEQ and Transport Compliance role<br /> Minimum 3 years' experience in a management or supervisory position<br /> Current/valid Transport Manager CPC (Road Haulage) certification<br /> NEBOSH General Certification, Degree in Health & Safety, or equivalent qualification<br /> Advanced FORS Practitioner certification with demonstrable experience in the management and application of FORS accreditation<br /> Strong knowledge of UK legislation including HASAWA, RIDDOR, PUWER, LOLER, COSHH and DVSA requirements<br /> Experience leading audits, compliance systems and incident investigations<br /> Experience liaising with HSE, DVSA, local authorities or external auditors<br /> Experience delivering training, toolbox talks or safety briefings<br /> Experience using digital compliance or safety management systems<br /> Strong IT skills, including reporting and data analysis<br /> Full UK driving licence<br /><br /> Desirable (not essential) <br /><br /> ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification or auditing experience<br /> Experience with BRCGS, CLOCS or similar industry standards<br /> Experience implementing integrated management systems (IMS)<br /> Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Kaizen, 5S)<br /><br /> Personal
