Service Engineer

Due to continued expansion, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a <strong>Service Engineer</strong> to join the team, supporting clients across the Northern region, based out of Oldham.<strong>Your Roles and Responsibilities</strong><em>While in this role your duties may include but are not limited to:</em><ul><li>Supporting the delivery, installation and maintenance of radio communication systems, body worn cameras, and associated security technologies</li><li>Assisting the sales team with technical input, product demonstrations, and customer enquiries</li><li>Conducting site surveys and preventative maintenance inspections (PMI), producing detailed reports and documentation</li><li>Carrying out system design, build, factory testing, installation and commissioning</li><li>Providing first-line technical support to customers via phone and remote systems</li><li>Performing routine servicing, maintenance and bench repairs on customer and company equipment</li><li>Configuring equipment across a range of communication and security technologies</li><li>Delivering on-site technical support at events, including festivals, sporting events and entertainment venues</li><li>Participating in a call-out rota to provide 24/7 support for contract customers</li><li>Collaborating with internal teams to ensure efficient project delivery and customer satisfaction</li><li>Supporting other regional teams when required, including occasional travel to the Southern office</li></ul><strong>What You Will Need To Apply:</strong><em>Please apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:</em><ul><li>Proven experience in a technical engineering or service role, ideally within communications, security systems, or related industries</li><li>Strong understanding or hands-on experience with RF devices and communication systems</li><li>Good working knowledge of IT networks and system configuration (desirable)</li><li>Ability to carry out installations, maintenance and fault-finding independently</li><li>Strong communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li><li>A proactive mindset with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines</li><li>Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and travel when required</li><li>A valid UK driving licence</li><li>Security clearance is advantageous but not essential</li><li>Familiarity with manufacturers such as Motorola, Hytera, Icom, Kirisun, or Caltta would be beneficial</li></ul><strong>What You Will Get In Return:</strong> This exciting opportunity is ideal for a motivated engineer seeking to develop their career within a growing and forward-thinking technology business.
