We are expanding our team to increase capacity, reduce delays, and deliver timely, strengths-based and person-centred practice across adult services.</p><p><strong>Be Part of Hackney's Reablement Expansion</strong></p><p>The long-term goal? </p><p>A Reablement First approach where reablement is considered for most adults requiring support. You will help embed this vision as our service grows and expands community-based referrals, working collaboratively across Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and multidisciplinary teams.</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p><strong>As a Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist or Senior Physiotherapist, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening our service. </strong></p><p><strong>You will:</strong></p><ul><li>Hold and manage a small caseload of complex and challenging cases</li><li>Provide clinical leadership, mentoring and supervision to therapists, apprentices and students</li><li>Lead high-quality, analytical assessments and evidence-based interventions</li><li>Drive professional standards, innovation and continuous improvement in practice</li><li>Represent therapy services within multi-agency forums and contribute to strategic development</li><li>Oversee safeguarding investigations as a Safeguarding Adults Manager</li><li>Ensure compliance with the Care Act 2014, MCA, safeguarding guidance and local frameworks</li><li>Champion strengths-based, personalised, independence-focused practice</li><li>You will be joining a motivated service committed to raising standards, improving outcomes and redesigning pathways to benefit Hackney residents.</li></ul><p><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></p><p>We would love to hear from you if you have:</p><ul><li>3+ years' post-qualification experience as an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist in Adult Services</li><li>Strong knowledge of the Care Act, MCA, safeguarding and reablement practice</li><li>Experience supporting and developing others through mentoring, supervision or shadowing</li><li>Confidence managing complex cases and clinical risk</li><li>Strong communication, decision-making and leadership skills</li><li>HCPC registration</li><li>RCOT membership (OTs) or CSP membership (Physiotherapists)</li></ul><p><strong>Why Join Hackney?</strong></p><ul><li>A supportive, forward-thinking team with strong leadership</li><li>Opportunities to develop reablement pathways and influence service design</li><li>A chance to make immediate, meaningful impact for residents</li><li>Commitment to diversity, collaboration and professional growth</li></ul><p>Hackney is a borough that values innovation, compassion and high-quality care.
