<p><strong>JOB: Senior IT Technician</strong></p><p><strong>LOCATION: Harrogate, North Yorkshire HG1</strong></p><p><strong>STATUS: Permanent</strong></p><p><strong>HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8.45am until 5.15pm</strong></p><p><strong>SALARY: up to £35k plus many benefits (see below)</strong></p><p></p><p>My client is seeking to employ a full-time, permanent Senior IT Technician. This is an exciting role within a growing international organisation who operate in more than 120 countries. There are real long-term career prospects and considerable training and development opportunities.</p><p>You'll join a team of six supporting Head Office in Harrogate as well as corporate offices in Bangkok and Nanjing as well as Distributors in the UK and Germany.</p><p><strong>What you'll do:</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain reliable & secure IT infrastructure, making recommendations for improvement.</li><li>Work closely with the IT Manager to implement approved changes and improvements, ensuring work aligns with department goals.</li><li>Take ownership of complex incidents and escalations, ensuring thorough diagnosis, resolution and clear communication.</li><li>Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and records.</li><li>Mentor and support IT Technicians, sharing knowledge and promoting consistent ways of working.</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to enhance operational efficiency.</li><li>Provide timely technical support to internal users and our Corporate Distributors, ensuring a high standard of service and clear communication.</li><li>Working areas include:</li><li>SAAS application development (Zoho One).</li><li>Microsoft 365 Administration (maintaining and improving M365 tenant(s , including Entra ID, Intune, Purview and compliance controls, plus core services.</li><li>LAN/WAN network security & patch management.</li><li>VM management (VMware/Proxmox).</li><li>Cyber Security & Firewall management.</li><li>AWS cloud administration.</li><li>IT Incident response & DR.</li></ul><p><strong>What you'll need:</strong></p><ul><li>A minimum of 5+ years' experience in IT Infrastructure/Networking/Service Delivery or equivalent roles.</li><li>IT relevant certification(s) (BSc, Diploma, CompTIA) or equivalent.</li><li>Strong knowledge of ITIL.</li><li>Full UK driving licence.</li><li>Proven experience administering Microsoft 365 tenant(s), including user/device management, security baselines, Purview and compliance configuration, and continuous improvement of configuration and service health.</li><li>Strong endpoint management skills (e.g., Intune policies, device onboarding, patching, software deployment and lifecycle management).</li><li>Working knowledge of identity and security controls (e.g., MFA, Conditional Access, RBAC/least privilege) and supporting incident response activities.</li><li>Experience working within a Service Desk/ticketing environment, managing workload to SLAs and owning incidents/requests through to resolution.</li><li>Demonstrable experience supporting a busy environment, with the ability to prioritise workload and support others through guidance and knowledge sharing.</li><li>Enthusiastic and passionate about helping others.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering results.</li><li>Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical users.</li></ul><p><strong>What my client will provide:</strong></p><p>The successful candidate can expect to receive a highly competitive package including:</p><ul><li>Company quarterly performance bonus scheme</li><li>Flexible dress code</li><li>Private Health care</li><li>Life assurance</li><li>Permanent Health Insurance</li><li>Defined Contribution Company Pension (Salary Sacrifice)</li><li>Employee Assistance Programme</li><li>Cycle to Work Scheme</li><li>Free onsite parking (EV charging available)</li><li>Birthday Gift</li></ul><p><strong>Job Type:</strong> Full-time - Permanent - On Site in Harrogate</p><p><strong>Holidays</strong>: 23 Days plus Bank Holidays</p><p><strong>Working Hours:</strong></p><ul><li>37.5 hours per week</li><li>Mon-Fri 8:45am - 5:15pm</li></ul><p></p><p>If you believe that this is the role for you, please don't delay in sending me your CV.
